I love this bloke.....Here is a quote from an interview!!!!

Talking about his victory on the moto GP bike in the last race of the season.

Q. What does this victory mean to you?
A. "It means a fucking lot. I've proved myself in superbikes, but I never got to show what I could really do in Moto GP. To be able to come back and win with the guys I know and trust, from my ducati Superbike team, is great. A few months ago I said to a lot of people I thought I could win in GP's with my crew and mechanics-and I fucking did it first time out, so there you go."

Feckin champion he is!!! I kept saying all last two seasons it ain't Troy!!! I feel vindicated too!!!!

Hell yeah! I am with you dude, he frigging rocks.

I have so much respect for the guy, both how he rides and how he acts off track.

He is definitely the best Aussie racing ATM. Damn I wish he could have a decent go at MotoGP.

 you are joking right ?? he may not be everyone's cup of tea, but you must have forgotten his epic ride in the 1987 Aussie GP at the Island ???

One of the best rides *ever* in my book, had a piece of shit that was falling apart under him, and still managed to bring home the bacon....

I still remember watching the bike trying to disintegrate underneath him, while he power slid it out of turn 12 lap after lap!!!! :D

And as far as Aussie blokes go, I reckon most of you have never met WG, and all you can go on is what others say!!!

Well from my limited personal contact with him through mutual friends over the last ten or so years, I can honestly say that he is a ripper bloke!!!!! And, for that matter a top Aussie too!!!!! I'll stand in his corner from both a personal and a riding perspective. OK, so cars weren't as good to im, but boy can he steer a muddaboik!!!!

Gossie, Strika, I will stand corrected..... Your right I have never met WG and I based my opinions on what I had read about him.

I stand by My original Comment, that Bayliss was'nt mature enough when he was in Motogp full time.
If he had of finished top tens like Nakano instead of tossing it in the weeds while running forth after starting 16th he would of Stayed in Motogp & this would be a mute point.

Good on him for "toughing it out" & showing how good he really is.

Both the troys are pretty cool I reckon....

WG seems like an ok bloke.... He could sure ride like a demon posessed when he needed to.....

Although my new brake pads squeek a bit......

Troy baylis just seems to have such a passion for what he does........ he's baylistic....

Valentino Rossi, was not prepared to move camps to Yamaha unless he could take his crew with him!!!!!! Surely that tells you something Ponti???

Bayliss suffered from this fate. he had a crew telling him to go one way, when he KNEW it was better the other!!!! So how can you win races or championships like that!! I bet If i fcuked with your favourite settings you'd ride like more of a spas too!!!!!!

That and Japan '92. Didn't win it but, having crashed, got back on and rode the wheels off it in the wet with only half a fairing (before crashing again and breaking ankle)
