[syd] Lane cove/epping road shitty road conditions.

As the lane cove tunnel progresses they have slowly been making epping road a continual challenge as they divert traffic left & right while they progress with making improvements to the road. in the meantime they leave it a fricking dangerous obstacle course of ground down bitumen and badly marked abrupt changes in road direction. i've had a few close calls in the past, but they have excelled themselves this time.
But the worst i've seen so far was this morning when going north along epping road under the pacific hwy the left lane had about 20+meters of roadplates. The only reason i noticed them was that they had a "caution road plates" sign on the left of the road just before them, the curve in the road hid them until you were right upon them. Also i don't recall more than 1 or two of the 5-6 plates with the anti-slip surface stuff on them.
This was bad enough, but then it'd been raining enough to bring the crap out onto the surface of the bitumen, which had then been dragged onto the plates. Ended up riding the centre track which was the only dry bit. Also some nasty and very uneven bitumen edging on it too.
So watch yourselves if your going to be heading down epping road towards the warringah freeway.
