so what do you all wear when you ride? (and i only mean on the bike  ) :D

obviously a helmet :)

i cant decide whether its worth me shipping me leathers and textile suit.

they aint anything special, just got a RST 2-piece leathers and RST textile suit for the cold, wet weather here in the uk.

but if its nice and warm over there i might just go back to jeans, leather jacket and boots.

i can wear me jacket and boots on the plane over so no shipping charges.

I dont own full leathers, but I would only wear them on a "hoon" ride or a track day..... I've got 2 textile jackets, one for the wet and one for the hot....

I have (havent used them for a while)

A) Shoei XR 1000 helmet in FATHEAD size
B) Full two peice AGV Leather suit (black/silver)
C) I had a pair of boots (can't remember the brand now) however, they were fantastic with toe sliders, and all that ankle protection stufy
D) Some nice yellow gloves from the vic market
E) neck warmer - Turtle fur ?
F) A pair of camo draggins for just cruising in (or to wear to work on casual friday) they tend to go down better than leather pants with the bum sag

not that i ride much anymore, but it depends on the weather/ride.

2 piece suit for the hoon

warm textile jacket/daks for the wet

leather jacket/jeans for the quick spin

light textile/jeans for the quick spin in the heat

i like leather better and will wear it as long as i can handle the heat/cold. but when it gets to either extreme, out come the textiles.

if you've got them both, bring them. i cant see any reason to leave perfectly good gear behind only to buy it again here (unless you were thinking of ditching it anyway because of fit or colour or something). you'd probably even get away with the helmet unless you got a real asshole cop that kinda knows what they're looking at (i would have thought that most bike cops would know that another countries standards are just as good as ours and most cage bound cops wouldn't even think to check the almighty sticker).

I have 2 textile jackets, one for spring/summer/autumn, and one for winter.

I would like to clarify that the jeans referred to in the poll are proper motorbiking jeans and not wussy squid-type ones.

Full leathers normally, however during the colder months I wil wear my textile suit! Sometimes when it's really feckin cold, it's thermals, then the leathers, and then the textile suit.

Allways wear the full leathers but then again haven't owned them in the middle of summer either so time will tell. Even if they are too hot minimum requirement will be jeans

well contrary to what some web sites might say about the weather between mid december and the end of february it can be up to 40 degrees in qld syd melb but melbourne tends to be cooler, just something to consider.

we wouldnt bat a eylid at a 35 degree day and i have tried to do a trackday in 40 degrees as well but it was unsucsessful but some guys skinnier than i plundered on anyway.

It also rains at times so the textiles would be good for that.

I wear a breeze type textile jacket at work just a blow through job and i dought it will help much in a off and draggin jeans and astar boots.

Going up the hills I may wear the same or if theres a possibility of tomfoolery out come the leathers.

If your getting a blackbird to get around on i would be doing the textile thing.

I know some poms consider 28 degrees a heatwave.

It all depends on where you end up hanging your hat. Anywhere south of Sydney, you will need warm gear for *most* of the year ( except for the heatwaves around Xmas :? ), if you end up in Queensland, then pack your T-shirts  - leather jacket and Draggin' jeans are the best bet up there - full leathers for track-days, or hectic ride-days with hoodlums.
