Help needed in Woolongong!

Hi all,
I have just purchased a Z1000 privately, in Woolongong.
The bike shop I had arranged to crate my bike for transport have conveniently thrown all their crates out, so now I really need a crate!!!!
If anyone knows 'someone' at a bike shop im Woolongong that deals in new bikes that could potentially help me out (I was even willing to pay the other shop, too!), I'd really appreciate it!
In a perfect world, they will have a forklift to load it, too!
PM is fine.
Thanks a million, in advance!
Daz.

Have you thought about one of the specialist bike movers or a Removals company backload?

I know guys (and girls) who have used these methods at various times and had no problems (sometimes the removalists will do it for a few cartons).

Personally, I would check the bike movers.

Otherwise, why not fly to Sydney on a Friday and get to the 'gong, find a pub to stay at. Collect the bike on Saturday and get to know it on the way home for the weekend?

Just went looking and found these as well.

Motorcycle Logistics - http://motorcyclelogistics.com

Campbelltown - http://www.allwestmotorcyclecarriers.com.au/ - apparently these guys to crate.

Bike Ezy Movers - http://www.ezy-movers.com.au

Bikes Only - http://www.bikesonly.com.au/

Motorcycle Express - http://www.motorcycleexpress.com.au/

There is another one run by an ex-racer who is suppsedly quite good as well, just can't find the details.

Hi Garry,
The bike is a repairable write off and doesn't have rego.
I can get it brought down to my work, for $150 if it's in a crate......
I just need to find one!

Thankyou jmuzz!

Try Trevor Jordan Motorcycles in Wollongong. I think they are on Corimal Street. Trevor is the owner.

Just phoned Frasers in Fairy Meadow and was absolutely disgusted by his response!

He wants $300 for a freakin bike crate that he would throw out anyway!
He advised me that they don't throw any of their crates out.....
What a tool.
I had my last bike crated at Frasers, almost 18 months ago, in Homebush and that cost me $50!

I tried Trevor Jordan's and they don't have any crates.......

One of the guys on the gong site called TJ's this morning.

They said they have crates coming through all the time but usually break them up imediatly, so call and reserve one and it should be fine (guess thats ok if you can wait a week)

Threads here if it helps.

Frazers in Fairy Meadow is not the same company as the one in Homebush. Frasers in W'gong only deal in KTM so their crates may not be suitable anyway. $300 for scrap metal is ridiculous

Sorry to hear Trevor could not help.

Fraser's at Fairy Meadow is the same as Homebush but the Fraser that is the KTM dealer is David Fraser at Oak Flats.

Either way, good that it is all sorted.
