earlier this morning cruizing up the Monash(aka SE) Fwy inbound
just past the Stud road overpass/entrance onto the freeway
I was in the cage in the middle lanes and I saw a bloke on a
new gixxer (thou I think, coodabeen a 7fiddy though)
come charging down the on-ramp onto the freeway
which was thick as..with traffic, semis, cars delivery vans etc

well, this goose gets just about onto the freeway
and
decides he's gunna mono... front wheel comes up
and he comes back down and as the front wheel
touches down.......tank slapper big time :(

he's fightin it, the bikes got the wobbles at 100kmh
and if he falls orf, he's mincemeat under the 40wheeler
behind him
he swerving from one side of the lane to the other
fighting it , the bike slews sideways and at 100
...he and the bike bounce off the side of a delivery van
result?
the bike straightens up and he continues riding up the freeway
as if nothing happened. He gets off at Warrigal Rd.

nearly one added to the toll i reckon
..stoopid

be careful out there....

Weird, all the new gixxers come with steering dampers, which should have stopped a tank slapper.....

You sure it wasnt an older bike?
