what a lovely day to go ride the Reefton and black Spurs!!!!

I couldn't post this in the rides section, as it was not a KSRC ride as such. As a matter a fact,
It was a little selfish ride!!! All by myself!
Sorry, but it was just one of those days where I didn't want to have to worry about either keeping up, or slowing for another rider, so I snuck out mid morning after a 5.00am office start to clear the days work. Back 3.45pm and did another hour. So I don't feel so guilty now!
Departed Che` Strika at around 11.00am and cruised, and I mean cruised, all the way to FTG Rd. Then onto Burwood Highway and along a road even I had never been on before. Not saying where, as it was really traffic free and most enjoyable. I'll keep that one for another day too. It put me back onto the Warby Hwy at a certain point not far from Yarra Junction. Then onto Warby. I stopped at the Three Sugars Cafe to say Hi to my little boyfriend, and tuck into some of the best Eggs Benedict you can get, along with a good melt the spoon strong Late`, and a very fattening, but I can afford it rasberry and white chocolate Muffin! Enough to make your taste buds cum!
During the food break, a guy sitting next to me who was nearly bursting out of his skin, eventually said hi! I returned the Hi, and then he very proudly told me before he burst..........that he had just bought a bike! I asked what and he said a Blade. A new one!! He was near jumping off the chair with excitement!
He picks it up tomorrow! Fark I hope he has half as much enjoyment as I got watching how chuffed he was! Arn't bikes magic!!!!
I then trundled along at the posted limit playing the double it game with the recommended corner speed indicators and enjoying the sunshine (Nah Not Mick!). I then crossed the bridge at the bottom of the Reefton, clicked it down three, nailed it and kept it there as much as I could till I reached Marysville. Mad! Had an absolute hoot! No cars! No bikes! No Plod! No hassles! Dry tar! Grippy tyres! (although the M3 goes walkabouts a little right on the edge of it!
It never came right around, but it squared one or two turns off for me without asking permission first!
Mind you, I had 38 Psi in it to start! So I s'pose it's gunna do that with that dort of pressure when it's most likely 8 degrees along the Reefton today!!!
But it did get a little snakey on one of the constant radius lefts at the bottom of the black on the way back down.
After the complete engorgement of the Reefton, I had to stop at Marysville and use my coffee card to good effect. A custard Tart and a latte` for the princely sum of $1.50. Don't ya just love motorcycle friendly places like that!
A guy on a new (340klms) Ducati Monster S4R was at the Bakery and tagged along for the ride back. There was a little traffic along the Black so we behaved till the sweepers arrived. I then wicked it up a tad for a little fun before we exited the hills for the day. The monster rider kept the turn speed up, but took it easy on the throttle while running it in. He was a big guy, but steered well. Only traffic ever seperated us. There were the usual four or five bikes doing the laps up to the car park and back, with a group doing a U-turn at the car park as we went past. Didn't see them again?
We stopped at the servo at the bottom to refuel and have a 5 min break, before returning via my fav route, including "That" little rollercoaster road i love so much!
Buggered if I know how many Klms I did? Maybe 320 door to door at a guess!
