I recall a story about a Winnebago driver who set the cruise control, got up and went ot make a coffee...

Apparently they had to re-print all the operator manuals to warn drivers of this...

May be a German vs. Sat Nav thing:
00:58 10Oct06 -German motorist obeys sat-nav system, hits sand
BERLIN, Oct 9 (Reuters) - An 80-year-old German motorist
obediently following his navigation system ignored a motorway
"closed for construction" sign and crashed his Mercedes into a
pile of sand further down the road, police said on Monday.
"The driver was following the orders from his navigation
system and even though there was a sufficient number of warnings
and barricades, he continued his journey into the construction
site," a police spokeswoman told Reuters.
"His trip finally ended when he wound up crashing into a
pile of sand," she added.
The driver and his wife escaped uninjured from the
collision, which occurred on a motorway near Hamburg.

That was the story i heard. But it is dicks like these that give us so many laughs regarding stupid warnings. Just proves that the warnings are for people that don't read them

bloody oath it is.........there are heaps of 45-50yo grandmothers up here matey, single grandmothers most of 'em, with single daughters who are also single mums......seems to run in the family a bit...

back in the late 80's, the ruckman at my footy club went out with a 36 year old chick (man we thought she was sooooo old  ), who had a 6-month old grandchild. That was a big deal in 1989  not any more.
