eh, its been a bitchy month or so finding out what i can and cant do to the bike, and what stuff is approved, especially when looking at repairs or modifications.
the RTA are hopeless and offer no insight into anything and yet theyre the ones that will fail my bike if somthing has been repaired or modified incorectly.
finally i was shopping and asking people at bikebiz about parts and i get a wonderful email back saying exactly what i needed even how they have enquired to manufacturers beforehand on similar subjects. they explained in detail about rego with road legal enduro bikes and streetfighters *this was a similar headlight issue* saying that if the bike was originally ADR approved *aka a standard factory road bike* then you can attach any headlight to it that has high and low beam apparently, and still be road legal / renew rego. but if it is a bike that is being registered for the road for the first time it apparently needs to use specific ADR headlights, which apparently was ONLY the DOT approved acerbis DHH
well anyways, Bikebiz rocks even though their prices are a bit high
