headlight kits

are headlight kits from motorcross stores road legal? i mean is the whole light assembely have to by DOT approved or e-marked? or is it just the lights themselves? would you be able to get dipping road legal lights for them?

Mate, I have one of those, brand new, was planning to use them on my ZZR250 but doesn't fit.
U can have them for $55 if u want.

yeah... i contacted the RTA today and they gave me some pointless link to a bunch of non-specific ADR's that didnt even specify if i needed e-marked lenses, DOT or SAE approved or what... so i decided i wont bother until i find one at a shop or somthing listed as fully road legal... unfortunatly i will probably pay through the teeth for that and i dont want to :S.... maybe i should just repair the fairings

Those twin halogen ones are not road legal
I know a few guys that run them but if caught you can get a canary for them.
