What would you do?

Here is a money dilemma...
Say you got a small bonus from work and were weighing up the following possibilities:
* Buy a new lounge
* Use it towards another (i.e. used) bike
* Buy a big-screen plasma tv
* Put it towards an overseas trip
* Buy clothes and shoes, etc
What would you do??

You forgot leathers, bike courses, track days and a track bike on your list, Colette!
Myself: If I was interested in a new bike, the money would go there first. Forget the lounge, TV and clothes...

Depends... which thing bugs you the most?
Depending on your normal financial situation you might find it better just to spend it on week to week things, or pay off bills...
If you have a great financial situation normally, treat yourself to something nice...

agreed!!
well to be serious i'd suggest writing a list down of what you want, and writing down the pro's and con's and emotives (emotional input/desire) you have for each item and then go from there.
Worst thing to do is buy somethign and then go "fark, why the hell did i do/buy that first?"

Gotta say I am leaning towards the bike upgrade if possible...already have leathers and would need more for an overseas trip (unfortunately)... but geez I'd love a plasma tv

Well sems you've basically ruled out overseas Col. No point getting a decent lounge without having a decent tv to watch, so I reckon that puts you down to 2 choices, although the party is a great diea too, as fr the porn, you can download that, Neka can tell you where.

ya know, if you can't decide, then ya don't need it!
Put it in the bank, (or some short term deposit for 6 months) then, at the end of that, the Plasma's will be cheaper, there'll be new brands of Sofas on New Year deals, and you'll realise you should either (a) pay off the mortgage or (b) get a mortgage.
Or am I just a frustrated accountant?
