QLD Rego Prices

Post by ant »

I have to pay rego soon for my bike.

This being the first time I've had to pay rego for a 2 seater - what's it worth in QLD in comparison to a single seat.

I looked on their webiste, but it's so hard to navigate and find the correct info.
R.I.P Craig William Park. aka 'Skippy'. You may now be resting, but rest assure you will NEVER be forgotten.

My Guzzi was until recently registered in the thirsty
state. I had solo rego on it (took off the pillion pegs)
and it was $240 a year.

Unfortunately man it nearly doubles the price. It is all to do with the insurance rather than the rego. Insurance goes from ~$100 to around $300 from memory. Which is why all my bikes have been single seat regoed...

I think it is around $200 vs $360ish- my bikes cost a little more to register- registered as training vehicles. :?
2 X ZRX1200R 4 X ER6N, GT550, 1988 ZX-10, 4 X GPZ250R, 4 X GPZ900R and GPZ750R :) Yeah I like Kawasakis.

Well I paid $196.00 for the Ducati 860 in May and the same for the ZX7R (deregistered now  )
But I had been paying $208.10 for them each up until other dealings with my 3rd Party Insurer (Suncorp) meant I had four (I think?) insurances/loans(?) with them and got discount.
Just because you CAN ride, doesn't mean you SHOULD

Oh and If YOU change it, im guessing you could get into some trouble if they ever found out.
AND when it comes time to sell, maybe harder for the person who buys it.
With that said i don't think you can just ring up and change it.

When we did a car conversion we had to get an engineers certificate to take to vicroads for them to ammend there files.
