OMG,
i just rang Sensis to put me through toa Kawasaki dealer in Melb and they gave me a Yamaha place and i questioend them askin
"Would they sell Kawa's tho"
they said yes.... so watever got connected..
Anyway i asked about 636's and they are like wat do u want one of them for... i said Cause they are an awesome bike, and they are like Compared to an 06 R6 mate, there shit.
So i asked.. why are they shit.. oh mate Kawa's have always been reknowned for being a cheaper bike... even tho i got quoted $13,500 unregod for a new 636 and $14.400 new, compared to the R6 $13,900..
i just thought it was rude of him critise another brand like that in order to get some sales.. i bet he has never ridden one.
has anyone else had this kind of experience ?

i'd say arrogance on the part of the individual, they cant all be tarred with the same brush, unless you call a few different times and get people being a prat on the phone.
Also another thought, it may be that they think if your calling on the phone, your a timewaster, so why go to any effort? think about how many tyre kickers there are out there.

Not a bad dealer just doing their job selling their bikes.
Why again did you ring a Yamaha dealer?
I dont understand your grip, lucky you didnt ring
a hog shop,

Just cause i ring via fone shouldn't change the level of customer service u get. I know they would get heaps of tyre kickers!!

http://www.kawasaki.com.au
"Dealers" Tab.
"Motorcycles" radio button.
Set "Postcode"=3000 for Melbourne City.
Click on "More Dealers".
Six hits. Of them, three have "Kawasaki" in their trading name, so they'd show up in a White Pages or Yellow Pages online seach with "Kawasaki" as the parameter.
Given that,
1. What the hell are you using directory assistance for?
2. Why the seeming surprise that they got it wrong?
3. Why the surprise that a shop rubbished a brand that they don't sell?

Don't forget that Honda and Yamaha have more money to throw at the dealers...
You know, free shirts, free lunches etc...

No its bad Sensis. i Work for Vodafone in Direct Assist and i always seem to get it right 99% of the time so i don't see why the people that write the phone books should get it wrong!!
Thats not my point tho!

lol yeah you were kinda asking for it
but you cant blame a dealer for spewing bullshit, its their job
i once had a suzuki dealer tell me that spewzooks had easily the same build quality to the other three jap manufacturers, and their resale values were just as good
SIF!

firstly...
how the fuk would sensis kno what brands a bike shop sells??... if my mrs rang & asked u what brand of designer handbags myer sells would u kno??
secondly...
i work in retail..tho my boss MAKES us answer the phone as priority, i give preferance to the ppl who arent too lazy to get off their ass & come shop...
thirdly...
do u kno how often industry ppl "shop" each other to see what deals etc they have on??
fourthly...
sales ppl have to put up with dick heads all day, and establish how much time to spend with a customer. he was simply qualifying u- are u worth trying to convert to a profitable queery , or are u wasting his time
filthily...
u bagged his product, and maybe insulted him..of course he's going to stand up for it, it pays for his food/bills/family etc..
this wasnt intended as an insult etc, im just explaining from a sales person's point of view (i use to sell bikes, and put up with similar all day, or sum toss who had no idea why he wanted the R1, cept cos he thought the girls like em more etc)
