Sounds like a top deal!

I will be busy throwing spanners at Stretchy's bike, but is anyone else up for some flag waving? No KSRC flags at the marshall points unforuntately......

Hi all,

Well what a great weekend as a club we had. Looks like we picked up a possible 5 new members.

Friday went off well we had 18 marshal's, the most ever for a Friday according to some. We/most of us gave up work to do so thanks to one and all for that. Without members giving their time there is no QFML.

Saturday we had 29 Marshal's. We had a few minor problems. I say minor because we didn't influence the outcome of any event that the problem occurred in. No big deal, we shuffled a few people and it worked fine. I tried to keep people on the same points where possible to allow them to get used to that point so could relax and enjoy the meeting.

Sunday we had 37 marshal's. We had some fantastic races and were enjoyed by the crowd as well. Turn 3 had a few burnouts to help with day. Must say the Clerk of the Course fined them for doing them. The crowd loves it but the officials don't. They get a fine from the track owners for "damaging the Track" I believe. I guess they don't like to many fans at meetings hey! Well not the ones that love burnouts and wheel stands anyway.

We were complimented by The Clerk of the Course, Pete Smith as to how well we went all day on Sunday. He came down to Saturdays Briefing and thanked us, then approached us after to thank us for all our efforts. Again he said it was the best round of the year so far. He says that every year but.

I am personally very proud to be a part of our club. I think that is the best we can ever do at a meeting, our best on the day, and we did that. If you know the other non QFML members pass on our thanks for their help.

Catch you all track side at the next one.

It was great fun...but just make sure when trying to jump over the airfence that you get OVER it not on top and have to 'roll' the rest of the way like a certain marshall!
