anyone see Better Homes on the teev tonite???

the celeb home they visited was WGs...

great spot amazing home
and even more amazing was his 'store' room as he called it

this room has all the stuff from his racing days
there were more boxes with Shoei helmets...than MCA
gloves, medals
just a few racks with race suits, his racing boots
this room (size of most peoples master bedrooms)
was just full..... of racing stuff

cheers

Wish i had a room like that and i'm glad the improvements that have been made, when WG showed the boots that he used to race in (just leather with no hard outer shell)...

Isn't Wayne Gardner a Toss Boss, thats what I have been told by some.
I have no opinion on the man though.

Having been lucky enough to meet Wayne a few times, and even have dinner and a night out with him, I can vouch for him being just another Aussie guy! Down to Earth, intelligent, funny and genuinely a really nice guy. I just sometimes think the media beat him up a bit, because he speaks very directly and says what he thinks without being subtle. Personally as you may have detected by my posts, I prefer that method of operation.

You have to remember how much stuff WG has done and seen and what parts of life and people he has had exposure to. Yeah he lived it up pretty much while living in Monaco for a while, and has only really recently, (last 7 years) started to really take his other business stuff more seriously and build a good solid financial foundation. Prior to that, I think he was enjoying himself too much with the car racing to really worry too much about anything else.

I see him in a very similiar way to Mick Doohans persona. He deadset is just another dry, down to earth Aussie bloke. Have a chat one day with him, when you are not being an annoying pest, and you may see what I have seen in him.

Doors always open at my place for him! :)

What? Aaagh! The man is a dead set god! Being born in the mid-seventies, he was my idol when i was a kid.

I'll always think Wayne is a legend!

Just remember if it wasnt for wayne winning the world 500 gp championship we might not have any runners in it now.
He paved the way for all that followed into gps including Mick Doohan.
He did it the hard way and wasnt handed a ride like some of the johnny cum latelys.

I was always a big fan, remember those first 2 gps at phillip island, fantastic.

Its not shit mate, dont remember too many aussies on the gp grid before him, except for maybe kel curruthers way back in the 60s and maybe greg hansford, but there was not a flood of aussies comming into gps after they were racing.
