Hey,
Ive had my zzr for 6 months now and after watching dark angel and watching jessica alba (or most likely her stunt double) on her zzr 250 doing monos, endos, fishtailing etc. I decided id give a mono a try. but ive only been able to do a power hop and nothing else. so it makes me ask is it possible? so if you can tell me how.
thanks

I have seen video footage of a stock GPZ250 scrape the tail from standstill. As in 12 it.
(its on Urban Streetbike Warriors 2-Black Sheep Squadron)

Its all in the clutch.
Heres a link to a very good learn to wheelie thread.

yep
I was able to mono my ol' GPz2fiddy and my bro's GPx2fiddy
needed about 8000 and a bit of clutch technique
but
the wheel came up alright

Tweed with a bike with soooo much power you realy have to sit as far back as possible (your ass on the ductail) to allow the front to come up
Dont slam down but... the forks will blow their seals like the proverbial eskimo
Mate you need a large deserted car park to practice in or get a chooky to get the hang of it then progress to the road bike
Good luck & keep her upright

Anything will mono with enough revs. My mates 250 Virago is proof of that. He didn't think it was possible, so I told him to hold it high in the revs, sit back a little and let the clutch go. Next minute he had it pretty much verticle and scared the shit out of him.
About a year ago I dragged a zzr-250 off the lights in my car. The ZZR pulled a pretty mean mono, although I kicked his ass.

I think you'll find that's not a 250...

A guy who used to come to some group rides I did used to be able to get tiny little 3-4-bikelength wheelies out of a ZZ-R250 with some pretty criminal clutch abuse, and the thing used to wobble quite alarmingly while it was up there.

It's possible. Recommended? That's up to you...

I seem to remember Smek had his vertical one day at Cheltenham. So with clutch massacre it can be done.

i've done it on my gpx250.

just rev to 5000, let the clutch rip and hold on as hard as u can.

first couple of times u might stack it but its fun.

I was riding a zxr250 and popped this awsome mono.... went so far up the tail scraped and i almost lost it but saved just in time... and then was hit by a truck and i woke up. Awsome dream though.
