And now for the reading between the lines version!!!!

that guy on the GSX looked *really* wobbly, I felt a bit sorry for him......for about a nanosecond  But Phil and I did slow up, made sure he saw us in his mirrors, and proceeded past him at a reduced pace, simply to ensure we didn't scare the crap outta him.
I saw this gumby idiot way up ahead, wobbling all over the place.... The dill didn't deserve to hold a motorcycle licence, let alone an unrestricted one, nor should a wanker like this be able to afford one!!!! So Phil and I clicked it down a gear and wound it back up to 240. We passed one each side as close as we could. Fcuk did I laugh watching him in the mirrors, wobble almost off the road and then start shaking his fist.

This is a *good thing* - we didn't lose any time, after 2 or 3 corners we were back into our *normal* pace :P :P old mate on the little GSX was none the worse.....- same deal with old fellah on the GSX1400, only real difference being he could ride a bit, and was never going to be quite as *fussed* when overtaken by 2 quicker pilots.....
We didn't lose any time, and we soon settled back down to 220. The wanker on the other bike, thought he was fcuking Valentino, shit did we give it to him. Although he was a little better than the other guy, we still scared christ outta him.
Poor bugger though on the straight run to Cathcart - he said he had *just* done a mirror check, seen nothing, then 15 seconds later got strafed by the ZX9/ZX12 patrol.......and we sat behind him for , oh, at least 10 seconds...... .......
I really lined him up good and proper on the run to Cathcart. He said he had just done a mirror check, but the idiot wasn't looking for two loonies on a ZX9 and a 12 doing warp 9 past them!!! We musta sat behind him for at least two, maybe three metres.

Have to laugh at Strika's *pining for the past* !! Hitting the kill-switch while overtaking on the inside was almost *mandatory* back in the 80's, shit we did this all the time !!! and no-one fell off, or sued our arses off .....I guess when you ride with the same group of mates for a *few* years, you can get away with anything !!
Strika is an old hasbeen, who the older he gets, the faster he was, just ask him he will tell you. But rest assured if the bastard does it to me on a ride, I will pretend to fall off just so I can sue that prick!!

Bastards though, they knew if they hit my 'hazard' switch on the LH side, the main fuse would blow, and I would be *out of action* for at least 5 minutes  - so I had them strafing both sides of the Zed.......now and then......
See my mates hated me even back then.

Swapping/removing plug leads outside the pub on a Friday night was always *fun*......and occurred so frequently, that you just naturally checked your leads before even contemplating a start !!
I will be able to get Strika easily, he rides a naked bike.
Aaaah, the good old days...........

Back on subject Kids .....

Commuting tip no 4785 ..

Always try to use a parallel vehicle to shield you (sit at their front wheel) on multi lane roads as you pass through an intesection with Traffic lights. A Red light runner may see them where they would'nt see a bike.

Cheers Brett

Commuting tip number 4786

When you filter to the front of the traffic at the lights... Move IN FRONT of the car at the front...

That way if for some bizarre reason you miss the light going green, you dont end up being surrounded by dangerous cars before you take off....

Sure you might get honked, but you will be alive to be embarressed about it...

Commuting Tip Number 4787

As you watch the lights turn to Green....
make sure traffic on other road has come to stop
BEFORE gunning engine popping clutch
and pulling wheelie across intersection
or
of course you could move serenely off
ahead of the traffic you pulled up in front
as the lights in your direction turn GREEN
but
just don't bet on some clown on the other road
NOT running the RED

Commuting tip #4788.

Knee sliders are a wonderful invention which have more than just one use..............As well as utilising them to cut hot laps around your local racetrack, they can be employed as bumbers as you bounce your way thru the traffic like a pin ball. I have a record of 27 different automotive colours scraped onto my sliders from one rather spirited morning commute
