Just make sure it has the outward appearance of checkerplate from the period ;)

mmmmmm Chekerplate 5slick.gif
Progress has been slow but at least she can be moved now 8)
Have fitted Akront aluminium rims with some super sticky Avon rubber, new wheel bearings, fork legs are now straight & have been re chromed & the forks have been rebuilt (nice not to see oil weeping from the neglected seals), oil cooler has been fitted & oil pump has been upgraded.............. after having to wait an eternity for O ring seals to come in :? ordered from HK & UK as the originals are not available as the oil pump is sold as a complete unit.
I will fit the carbs next week, then its time to make up the new wiring harness, a part of the project I have been putting off  Still waiting on the new swingarm which should arrive early Feb at this stage.

Trying to squeeze a bit of bike time in on a work day I spent lunch doing the CR’s, I have been putting them off as I knew it was going to be a hard job. It took 15 mins to squeeze the buggers on but only with rubber suitable grease, there was no way they were going on dry, I did however spend an hour setting the individual carbs at the right spacing last weekend, not the easiest thing to do but with a bit of patience I got it sorted.
Best bit about today is the original throttle cable fits perfectly so there is no need for extra time making new push pull cables, postie just dropped off the new end case I like a bit of progress :D

Here's my race bike for this year, just picked it up last night. Can't wait to ride it. It's a 1990 Honda RS125 GP bike. I will be racing it in the Period 6 125cc class at the PCRA meetings. Built by Trevor Lusby. It weighs about 70kg and has about 38hp. :D

Trevor knows his way round bikes it should be a good ride Leanne, congrats on the addition to the stable 8)
I should have bought one ready to go  would have been a hell of a lot easier
I got in a couple of hours early this morning so I painted & started the wiring.... I am running a 380 gm race battery
that I have mounted for easy access & to swap without having to remove any bodywork, I am fabricating an alloy
bracket, the one in the pic is only a template
