Speaking of which, I've still got your copy of the DVD sitting right next to me on my desk. I'll have to remember to bring it along with me.

Yesterday i took the barge for a spirited fang, absolutely awesome and made it home before the sun fries eggs on concrete ..

Today, the pesky 10 was given a good hard run after first service.
It has given up more power again, I expect this will happen more in time, the midrange has improved so much so it was spinning up easily @ around 8k + and pulling wheelies gracefully with S-KTRC turned off in the twisty bits and the sweepers were something else :D now I am experiencing what this bike is all about   :D

In fact it damn near almost scared me, a trap for me was trailing rear brake with S-KTRC active and then after turning the farker off for some fun and forgetting that my rear peddal pressure was somewhat higher, hence causing a brief moment of "oh shit" mid corner of a tripple apex, but fortunately the saying of "just lean the farker" was the answer, actually it was the only way to avoid a potential nasty with a quick dab of front brakes and pushed it over, too easy, basically I farked up not having my mind totally on the job and entered the corner with a lazy attitude

I am torn between these two models as both are so very good in their own right, so I have decided not to compare them afterall, two different technological era's, they produce different power and handle very differently so it is unfair to compare.
Anyway, my reasoning for having the 12R is sound, it is the hyper tourer it has always been, the new 10R is the perfect track weapon or weekend blat bike (no shit sherlock) and the handling of this bike is out of this world and both are seriously quick machines. All the 10 needs is lower gearing for the tight stuff and speedo healer.

From my point of view, if you are thinking seriously about a 10R get it, linear power with a nice top end hit, brilliant handling for the road, good dash, basically what the reviews said is spot on.

All true mate, coz I know nuthin aye :kuda:

Mick's Crim was only 4hp less than the MFP12 when we had them dynoéd back-to-back a few years ago........the 12 does have good mid-range with the bigger capacity, but out on the open road, I reckon there is SFA difference even with roll-ons, because the 10's are 40kg lighter with almost the same hp (and later 10's have more hp than the Barges anyway).

I love the old Barge mate, but would give my left one to have an '11 10 in the 4th..........
