hopefully we'll see u on a sydney ride sometime ;)

now aside from anyone with a backyard.. has anyone got a toddler to loan strika so we can keep him happy?? ;)

Other peoples grandson's don't cut it BN!! Ya gotta have your own before it is any fun!!!

Thanks for the offer of the backyard Brendan. Another forum member, who may or may not wish to be named has PM'd me and offered a space already. Thanks anyway mate. And thanks heaps to the said forum member, which I will happilly name if he or she says it's OK! :D :D :D

As for a ride, I may or may not get out for a Sunday run this weekend. It will depend on how I am physically. I reckon my run of bad luck is over and it's all good from here, so a key in brain out ride is in order to celebrate!!! Just as long as this bulging disc settles as riding dosed on tramadol isn't smart!

life smacks ya in the face and as you try and get up..kicks ya in the balls

at least you had a larf with the grandkid.. mine crack me right up
Based on your above post, I reckon you are part way there..just keep going :)

and I commiserate...Tramadol works for the crook back (my 3 fucked discs thank me  )
but
don't ride with it...drowsiness is a problem and that is worse if you get one of medications
with it AND Paracetemol or Codeine ..they knock you around BIGTIME

Mate I know you're sorted, but I have a acre of open ground and a 48' x 25' shed (and a smaller shed within this shed for my bike).

I have just stowed my clothes in the spare room at my sister's place and have unloaded the bike. It's got a locked carport to live under while here, so it's safe. The trailer storage will be sorted Friday, (thanks again Dave :) ) and the Jeep can live on the street. 8)

My sister lives in what some might call pretty nice digs! :D It is an old two story turn of the century sandstone building. It has 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, kitchen/dining, lounge room, laundry, plus a completely seperate residence with it's own Kitchen and bathroom off to the side. It is used for an office though. But I Have the spare room upstairs, with a bathroom to myself so it's not all bad! I have plenty of room to get away if I need to. 8) The house, if you believe the stories, is the original McDonaldtown (Newtown) Homestead from when it was all market gardens. It's difficult to find as it is tucked up the end of a little dead end laneway. But it is like the tardis!!! You walk up to the sandstone and iron gates and it opens up into an oasis, with a beautiful english garden at the front and a heated pool at the rear. The house itself still has the original wide floor boards and stairs and railings. It's very victorian, but with a modern kitchen and all the bathrooms recently renovated. So I am tucked away in the lap of luxury, central heating, foxtel, 7.2MBPS internet....it's all good! :D

The back is feeling a little better today. However, I have been on the Tramadols all day, so probably wouldn't feel it if it was hurting!!!! Woohoo Mr. Mackie...Drugs are good...Mkay!!!! :D

Weather and back depending, I might try and make the regular Sunday run up the Old Rd. I'd do the Nasho with Phil and the boys, but they get up at sparrow's fart and I try not to be on the bike till at least 9.00am during winter, it's too feckin cold. Mind you, the temp in Sydders at 7.30 am is prolly equal to Melbourne at 1.30pm!!!

They used to call me .05 at school! I was the punching bag that arsehole belted when he was pissed!!! It stopped when I was about 14! I got bigger than him and one night I just said "No more"!! He still had a go, but that night, HE had a ride in an ambulance!

On Monday when he went nuts, he threatened to "knock my block off"! After I stopped laughing..... .... I reminded him that I was no longer 10 and he was now 77!!!!!  I even offered him 4 free shots at me before I ripped his head off and took a crap down his geriatric neck! But he decided he now wanted to call the police instead?? :? Silly bastard picks a fight and then wants the boys in blue to bail him out! I told him I wished I had the option to call the cops when I was 10! He didn't like that comment for some reason. :? He then went on to tell me what a mongrel of a kid I was and that I deserved all of it and I had grown into a mongrel of a person!!! :? I told him that I've never hit a kid or a woman, so if I'm a mongrel, he must be really low:lol: He went back to wanting to call the police. SO I asked him to go ahead and I would also have him charged with child abuse and assualt. He ran inside and locked the door instead!

Thank god I got some of my mothers Genes!

To be perfectly candid, Monday's happenings really didn't deter me or alter my positive outlook. I have been dealing with what he did and the scars of my childhood all my life and feel that I have a pretty good handle on it. I have never repeated any of his horrible behaviour so I must be doing OK! What did however get to me, was the discussion I had with my daughter on Tuesday when I went back over. I had no other option but to explain what had occured with her grandfather the previous day. At the end of re-telling the story, I made it very clear to her that no matter what she did, good or bad, I would always be there to support and assist her in any way, no matter what! I then went on to suggest that just because her grandfather and I do not get on, that she was welcome to continue developing a relationship with him. Her response made my heart sink!!   I hope I hid my feelings well enough from her, but what she said was "Don't worry Dad, I get the feeling he doesn't want anything to do with me anyway"   I was almost in tears. I wanted to jump in my car and go and do some damage to him!!! The worst of it is ...she is right! How can any man deny their grandchildren??? Out of all this, that really is the only thing that has upset me. I couldn't care less if I never see or speak to him again, I honestly have never had any benefit from the relationship, so I don;t miss anything. But what he has done to my daughter is just unforgiveable. It broke my heart to see the look of pain in her eyes!
