Re: Is this site officially dead.....
Wow I havnt been on here for years and thought Id log in and check it out....I recently got into a pretty bad car accident needing a few surgeries over christmas and ended up catching up with laidback in the hospital while i was there a few times.I hadnt seen him for probably 10+ years!....Was great to talk about the old KSRC days with him...Maybe this place is on a hiatus but it has also formed many friendships and a hell of a lot more great memories....Oh and I no longer have a Kawasaki but I do have a DRZ400 now so in a few months when I can walk again ill be back out there

Well you convinced me to come out of hiding Glen! I hate facebook also, it's a lesser version of life and a distraction most people would be better off without!
Disco, that sucks about the acco dude, hope you make a full recovery and quick!!!
Was Laidback in hospital for himself or to see you? Wonder if he's still got a garage full of 9's!
Learning to ride bikes was one of the best things I've ever done and it wouldn't have been half as good without KSRC.
Unfortunately it doesn't fit with family and commitments at the moment, but plan to return to it when less risk-averse and time-poor.
I'm in for a catchup! Thursday arvo catchup around the hills?

Re: Is this site officially dead.....
Well this is a blast from the past. Turns out I havent logged on here since 2016!
Like a lot of others have said, life gets busy and some things fall by the wayside. Some things don't change though, like the familiar names still posting in here, so that's good to see. It would be a dead set shame if this forum went the way of the dodo, there's so much history and info here, not just in the posts, but in the members. I joined KSRC way back in 2008 when I got my 2008 ZX10R (which I've still got and still love) looking for people to ride with. I only got to go on 1 organised ride through here ( that was a very interesting day ) but I lived vicariously through everyone else's posts about the big rides down south. I also got quite a lot of help from members with info about my little ZXR250, I even got a break lever sent to me after I broke one on the Bug. (I still owe a beer or 6 for that) It's a shame to see the forum so quiet now, but I'll be a regular again from now on. Facesook can kiss my arse!
Oh, and here is a pic of my beauty for your visual pleasure, still plastered in KSRC stickers

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

Maybe this is rude of me (soz!), but in WA we are not actually in "lockdown". There is a general suggestion to stay home. There are rules about numbers (no more then 2) and we cannot travel outside of your home region (this is being policed quite strongly) and a few other guidelines. With a few exceptions, people are doing the right thing.
Luckily, most of the nice roads in the hills are within the region, so:

Re: Is this site officially dead.....
Their website (fB page) said they were open for take-aways. When I got there they were closed - sorry I didn't even bother to read the note on the door. The hotel down the road had a sign "Open 4 - 6 for take-aways", but I grabbed a bite and a drink from the Post Shop / convenience store between them and ate sitting on a random garden wall.
I reckon these out-of-the-way places will be happy to get support from more then just the three people that live local!

So, no locals with pitchforks trying to prevent the "evil ones" from entering their townships.
Might try Dwellingup, that is still in the zone.

Hardly saw *anybody*. Yeah I'm thinking of doing a Dwellingup / Nanga run next. Border is just south of Waroona so it's all good.
