Sulli, it wasn't exactly a balanced view, thus my comment ...one sided...

Did you read Jon's blog? It was selective choice to strengthen one's side of a discussion. If he had presented facts about the laws that are passed through parliament every year that are similarly biased (from both sides of politics) in what they support or discriminate against then those that are passed on the one day that coincides with the consorting bill then I would say fair and balanced, but that opportunity was lost on some.

By the way, no I don't have a twin. However those against these laws are civil libertarians (like they have a grasp on reality) and a few motorcyclists, some would say a minority of which we exist. Yes these laws potentially could be used in other what's, but I recall funny statement, just because you have the tools to be a prostitute doesn't mean you will use them for such

Daisy, not saying all are bad but if you cover for the bad aren't you part of it?

yep sums it up we can't be civil and we can't be opinionated
"However those against these laws are civil libertarians (like they have a grasp on reality)"is this not opinion ?
You have to realise that who ever controls the media controls politics and the masses of sheeple
Just because you have the leglislation to be a prostitute doesn't mean you will use them for such but we have opportunists now in society Now as well.
Resistance is futile ??

Do you still think they will only target the 1%ers and the ordinary bloke won't be "collateral damage"

On the way to a funeral, I would have gone right off and probably get locked up.Clearly there is no common sence involved and that is the problem.

I don't believe anyone said that this would not happen, particularly with an over zealous officer. Plenty of them around unfortunately

I should pay attention and read this stuff more often. I didn't realise this was on. Looks like they had a good turnout. http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/quee ... 6772317196

==========================================================================

From the United Motorcycle Council Queensland Facebook Page:

For all the people that said, oh they wont ask citizens that use two wheel transport to Ring to go for a Ride that wouldn't be right to do that, well have a read

QPS Ride Safe Program
Good morning,

This email is a follow up to a meeting held between legitimate motorcycle clubs and groups with the Honourable Jack Dempsey, MP, the Minister for Police and Community Safety and the Queensland Police Service. I have sent this email to you as either being present or representing legitimate motorcycle clubs in Queensland. It is not an exhaustive list and I am happy for you to distribute the information within your clubs for communication between yourselves and the QPS and forward to other legitimate clubs in Queensland.

During the meeting the concept of a web based registration process to afford legitimate motorcycle clubs and groups the opportunity to register their group or club rides with the QPS was raised. The vast majority of representatives present voiced their opinion the initiative had excellent merit. The intention of the voluntary registration process is to open lines of communication with the motorcycling community, provide clubs and groups of riders with up to date information regarding legislation and assist the police in maintaining community safety

The Queensland Police Service has provided a process for clubs to register their rides (Ride Safe) through an online portal. I encourage motorcycle clubs to use the link to register your rides. The link is:

http://www.police.qld.gov.au/forms/registerride.asp

When the ride is registered the information will be sent to the relevant police districts. It is anticipated that you may have some contact with an officer from the local area from which your ride commences.

The Queensland Police Service looks forward to working with the legitimate motorcycle clubs in Queensland to ensure your enjoyment of riding safely on our roads.

Shaun Dinon

Senior Sergeant

it would be a cold day in hell before I ever registered any ride - no matter how many mates were going or where we were going.

One of my old mates in Qld told me the other week he has registered a shitload of false rides with the local plod  3 or 4 a week.
