our media sucks
last week we all have been submitted to watch and listen to endless reporting on a litle dogs rescue from under a rock. While we all feel for the dog with no hearing, how's is that a news item worth pushing onto people, or that a single engined airoplane crashed in othe state of Ohio (I think) ? Most americans would have difficulty finding Australia on the map
Want to report something, go down to Redfern or similar areas and report on the homeless or on our hospital situation, where people having to wait for up to 12 hours. Maybe examine the fact that hardly a night goes by without someone being stabbed or seriously assulted.
There are plenty of "burning" issues IF YOU CARE TO LOOK, why are we the public subjected to listen / watch crap?
I feel a lot better now
ps I love dogs

Dude, who watches news anymore except to see what the weather will be like... we have to know if we can ride the next day.
News is crap... that's what internet is for now... besides today they save a dog... tomorrow they have to put another one down
because it has bitten another human being... honestly who are these stupid owners who allow their dogs to run freely...???
That really chaps my ARRRSSSSSEEEE... pardon my French....

I'm sick of...no,wait, I'm just sick.
Came home early on friday 25th cos I felt like defrosted death, Manager says "do you *really* need to go home? You don't look sick".
Admitted to hospital saturday morning (26th),have acute diviticulitis, lots of pain, lots of morphine, little sleep, then Manager sends me drunk text at 1:15 AbloodyM

on sunday about nothing.
Try all sunday to contact Manager, who does not return calls saying "Its important, please call me back"
Monday morning, call work. Manager sarcastically says, "oh wait, don't tell me, you're still sick". Yes I am, I'm in bloody HOSPITAL and may need surgery.
Pause. Then, "OMG, its not catching is it? I go on holidays his week. Well, just make sure you get a certificate for your days off."

Didnt even ask what hospital. Such a caring, sharing work enviroment.
So now I'm starting my second week off.
Anybody looking for a hard worker?

Mohawk Miss - get well soon mate. don't worry about the drop kick manager - no point stressing over him now but it might be worth having a little chat with him when you return to work - or perhaps his manager
Either way, get well soon - we have a Bells run to do
Dizzi - you get well to mate. I'm still looking forward to catching up with you at the PITS soon (not tomorrow unfortunately). Good luck with work on Tuesday.

Recently had a "run-in" with our local (Gosford) council.... learned a few things , like
Did you know that you need permission to cut down any three or shrub over 3 metres???
even if it's privit, lantana or any other WEED
ps. 3 metres = about 10feet

G'day, my names Clint i came over the other day on my zx9r, mate i cant afford to grab all the parts of you this week, but i'll call in to pick up some more goodies, maybe just the sliders, or the rear stand to start. Havent got the bolts for the swing arm yet, but i'll get around to it this week.
As far as the council goes.... dont get me started, but yeah dont think your neibours will care cutting out a bit of lantana, also if its a small tree within 3 mtrs of a roof or fence, you can drop it.
Just get your Mrs to rev your bike in the driveway while you drop the tree with the chainsaw

Fark-knuckles the lot of them. Tell them to have a look what happened around Kinglake/Marysville to councils that have that sort of "We're so effing green our shit is recycled into your rates notices AND we'll charge you more for your rates because our shit is worth it". The arse-wipes should be pinned down in the front of a bushfire and let them sweat on the wind direction.
My local council fines you if your grass isn't mowed, which is fine as I mow my grass with a ride-on. Alas I have 3 acres of their shitty grass/weeds/gorse and rubbish next door to my place. I have one acre, so it's much bigger than my place, and I have to drive past it to get out of here in a hurry. Their grass is at least 4' high. Guess what I'll have to put out with my firefighting pump and drinking water come the next Black Saturday? Pricks.
And don't get me started on the absolute prick in a white ute that tried starting a grass fire just up from the local petrol station the day after Black Saturday either. If we catch him we're going to separate him from his testicles and he'll be sitting down to pee for the rest of his life. He'll have to get someone to wipe his arse for him too, and he won't be lighting matches for the rest of his life either.
Mick (who is a bit sleep deprived, but now feels much better).

RRRRAANNNTT!!
We're undergoing a "concentrate" household products revolution.... which I think is really a way of making the product smaller in order to pay more, and buy more often.
It's going on everywhere these days... biscuits, chips, etc etc.
You get charged the same or a bit less for a tiny bottle that you used to for a big one, which was the "premium" product...... well it was perfect then.
Somehow they've made it "concentrated", but when you get a "concentrate" bottle of some cleaning product, I know that the manufacturers know I'm going to use exactly the same amount to wash the dishes/floors etc
Rant over.

Sydney Water are a bunch of thieving pricks. They have decided to install Pressure Reduction Valves in the Mount Druitt area. So now I get half the water pressure at the say price per litre. So it takes twice as long to fill the bath, the washing machine, the dishwasher ( the wife is apparently quite upset about it) and I have no fucking hot water pressure for my shower.
As for work, the server in melbourne is as reliable as a 1980s Ducati, So a 2 minute job takes 20 minutes, there is more work than we can cope with and they are trying to create "new" positions doing the same work for $8k a year less and they expect the current staff to accept the new title and reduced income. Today the boss fucks off for a corporate golf day and goes home at 3pm. I don't begrudge him having the day off for a game of golf, I'd be there if I could too, and he works hard too and deserves a break and a reward, but to just have a day away while the staff hold the fort and keep his arse covered is bullshit. And god knows there is no way in the world the management will come around and take us to dinner to say thanks or give us a bonus of some sort, despite the amount of money we are bring in for them.
I'm just waiting for december when the baby comes and I walk out for a month and they try to call me to sort shit out, they can go punch it

It should be legal to shoot farkers who don't keep left unless overtaking, farkers who drive under the speed limit, farkers who accelerate when an overtaking lane becomes available so you can't pass, then continue 5-10 k under the limit again....
OOOOHHHH farkit it........... It should be illegal to drive onroads I wan't to use....

Mate I'm with you on that one, ( amongts other issues

) maybe it's the terminology , it's hard for the majority to comprehend ....
keep left unless overtaking, I honestly get it, all four words
Joy gets embarrassed (don't know why

) as I often lower the window and stick my arm out pointing to the sign as we are passing the "sleeper" , say 7 out of 10 then will pull down to the middle lane , but never ever the left hand side one, cos that's below them or it's contagious or something..
The other 3 ....well what can I say? just hoping that I never cross their path in life, cos i know who they're are and
I don't like them
