Done more work to her last night & this morning
Brake lines & pads all round, fluids, All lock wiring, Shim the thermo fan that was touching the radiator, double check all bolts & fuel up.
Started after a few cranks.... sweet music to the ears... checked & no leaks

let her get up to temp & give her a few revs everything is sweet

..... into first gear .... perfect run through the gears & all seems to be ok.... but wait what is this? there is runout in the back wheel BUGGA the rim has a runout of 6mm, this will be the last thing to sort before track time

'scuse my ignorance, but what does that mean? ie what's runout?
The bike looks tops Rob, always impressed with people who can put a bike together like that.
With those pics Cath will be pestering Dave#3 real hard now to get hers sorted

Thats right Wattie She's warped!
Looks like the previous owner had backed it into a gutter hence the damage
Only a little setback but.

Yay got the wheel back & spun her up.... the result is perfect!

Fitted the wheel & took her for the first spin round the block (factory units with no other tenants around)... it was fecking cold at 6.30am

...so let her warm up to bout 80deg, a few blats on the throttle gear up & go! 1st thing to notice is Phowwwrrrr watch the right wrist

got a bit keen on a straight section and lofted the front wheel skyward
Got a bit of work ahead, probably a half day at work on a Sunday with no one around, to adjust the bars levers rearsets etc ... the sorta stuff you cant do to a static bike. Best things about today were the fact that the radiator did not leak & all the hard work is over

more details to come
