So most of you 12 owners have deluded yourselves into believing

Come on Mick, you know you want one, Gos told me..

Of course he said that...he's delusional

Bah, all this slandering is reminding me of a truism
Riding a honda is like screwing a fat chick, you might enjoy it while its going on, but youll never brag about it to your mates.

Someone better tell the Kawasaki Superbike teams.... maybe that's what they've been doing wrong all this time. Riding 10's instead of 12's? OK, might have had something to do with the rules, but maybe they made the rules that way specifically to stop the ZX12's being raced???
Hmmmm... Don't get me wrong, I like the 12's. I prefer the look of the 14's (remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so we don't need a pointless debate about which one looks better) but the 12's make a great sports tourer.
If I wanted to go fast in the twisties then a 6 or a 10 would be the preferred option. That's what they were designed to do.
So, to sum up: the 12's a great bike, stacks of power, comfortable, but starting to look a little dated now. Anyone who wants to call it a "sports bike" need to start riding with people who know how to ride their 6's and 10's.

Jase just summed it up. You want something nimble and quick enough to give you brown marks in your undies on a frequent basis, then the 10 is for you. I'd suggest riding one before you go and apply for a pensioners card, and buy a 12

having had a cupla rides on the 10 while I was looking for a new bike last year I have to agree
but for real life riding..that is on the road I found the 10 a pain .......literally!
sore wrists, sore arse, sore thighs on every ride and a pain to ride in traffic with a throttle like a light switch
very unpleasant and it showed that the 10r is meant for the track
I'd suggest riding one before you go and apply for a pensioners card, and buy a 12

boy I suggest you test ride a 12 coz
....in real life riding (not on the track) the 12 is more pleasant
to ride..and no slower
Lane splitting on the freeway or the ride to the hardware
...makes no difference coz having done both, the 10 will
be no quicker than the 12
and imho, the 12 is easier to ride
my 2c
cheers

Geez, and you guys gave me shit for basing my opinions of the 12 on a couple of test rides

...so logically speaking, if you guys believe everything you've just said about the 10 is true, then everything I've previously said about the 12 is also true.
If however what I've said is not true, then you are also agreeing that everything you've just said about the 10 is not true...you can't have it both ways, except I'm sure you'll try to, which just goes to prove that you are all
delusional

This happens as we age Mick
OldFartItis12Rsyndrome
Only cure is to ride one
I have always said 10R for the track 12R for the road, I think

It's just simple logic...I think a lot while commuting, scratching and touring on the road on my track bike with lights, mirrors, indicators and a horn.

see *thats* the problem - REAL sportsbikes (like the Pearl) only have Lights !!!! (all that additional weight of mirrors *pfffft*, indicators *schmindicators* and a *horn*

WTF ? Give 'em the bird and take the mirror off with a well-placed size 12 Blundstone I say......!!!

) - this proves beyond any doubt that I am in fact quite delusional
Shadow - thanks for the link mate, I will have a nice long look at that next week, after the trip to PI.
Jamie - when you have your arse firmly planted in the seat of the *King* of Superbikes, you can look down at all the unwashed minions on their *little* bikes, and laugh and point at them !!!
Muahahaahahahaahahahaaha evil chuckle
