There are many great roads around the west and here you can go for two weeks at a time not crossing the same one twice, or if you do it was because it was so damn good you had to ride it again. The police are spread pretty thin here in country WA so not much chance of have problems with the law. I could spout of a few names of roads but you will have never heard of them so there is no point. Come for a visit, I'll show you around. Great people, great scenery, fantastic roads, awesome food, bugger all police, what more could you ask for.
Going to look into the Tassie thing though, my dad is moving there at the end of May.

I notice you have a ZZR1100 and a ZX14!!!!! Would that be because there are no corners in WA??? ...........

I lived there for 7 years and have also lived in NSW, S.A. VIC, and QLD and all of those outdo W.A. for bike riding roads sorry!!!!
Best roads are in Tassie, but the weather is shit.
NSW has more roads but they are badly maintained.
Vic is close behind NSW for twisties, but in a smaller area, with better surfaces but more draconian police.
S.A. has some sensational roads, but you can cover the good ones in two days!
Qld is a lot like NSW, some good roads, but shit surfaces.
To live and ride, I reckon Vic still has it though. It has a lot more days when it is neither too cold nor too hot nor too wet to ride. As well as a good selection and variation of the best quality roads in Oz.

Still yet to get the ZX-14, it's supposed to handle better than the ZX12 and much better than the ZZR 1100, or 1200 for that matter. I'm 195cm tall and like to be able to still walk after I stop riding, which, although I would love one, I don't own a ZX-10 or 9 and why buy a 12 when I have a 14 comming

Plus it will make it so much easier and more comfortable to get to Philip island and Tasmania if I have a bike that can do just about everything in style and grace. Anyway most of the time it's down to the rider and not the type of bike, a novice on a sports bike can still be made to look foolish by someone who has more experience on a sports tourer
Where in WA did you live? I've lived every where from up North (Broome, Port Hedland, Karratha) to down south (Albany, Denmark, Margaret River, Dunsborough). I've lived here most of my life but also spent some time in North Queensland (I love the Gilles Hwy and the other roads around Atherton and Ravenshoe), The Northern Territory. I've yet to have the pleasure of trying some Victorian Rds although most riders do seem to complain about the heavy handed approach to speeding in that state or South Australia. I've also seen alot of the Airport in Sydney but never had a bike with me in NSW.
I don't know about you but I much prefer to look where I'm going more than I do looking at my speedo reading. The density of Police population can be a factor in my riding, and if we do get stopped in WA at least our fines are cheaper (at the moment at least).
LOL I think I can find something good to say about any road, as long as I am riding down it.

You can't separate the favourite state from the time of year. Qld is shit to ride in summer. Hot, humid and wet weather often screws up planned rides. Its good now, its just getting into riding season here.
NSW and Vic have some great roads, but you have to ride hundreds of kms of boring shit in between.
I haven't ridden Tasmania in Winter, and I have no doubt the sleet and black ice would make life difficult. Still, the concentration of twisty, well constructed roads gets my vote.

For pure fun you would have to say Victoria is the best state.
Both Spurs, GOR & GAR, the Whitfield Rd, in fact any road in the Alpine area, they are all first class.
If you want an adrenalin rush, ride in QLD, boring roads but dodging the worlds worst cage operators can sure lift the heart rate.
