Funnily enough the same cameraman...dave#3 wrote:I'm pretty sure I saw a video of bikes on the way down using about the same amount of the oncoming lanes into blind corners? Pot. Kettle. Black?
My apologies it was Nth of Bem River the driver then turned off at Cann River and he was doing at least 160, definitely not overstated, as there is no need for me to do so, I was in company of a fellow rider whom can also verify we just wanted to pass him due to poor visibility from road spray.Gosling1 wrote:h.b.bear wrote:160K ? I know it can be done but only if a mechanic alters the rating on the trucks computer by a workshop laptop,if that was done he his boss and the company would be jailed and fined severly and even when they tamper with the limiters themselfs the truck still wouldnt reach quiet those speedsZedex 6 wrote:I think most of the logging driver think they are owners of the road around there, coming home from PI today, we were following a unladen logging truck doing at least 160k in the rain, with the spray it was throwing off we had no chance of passing until it turned off Nth of Cann River. And I thought Vic was pretty harsh on speedsters, with saying that we never saw 1 camera car on our travels from last Thursday till today, in fact the most police we actually saw was at the Entry to PI and cruising in and around the circuit.
I think the 160 might be a tad overstatedmaybe 120 or 130 max, it always seems like they are going faster when you can't pass them......
I know your not referring to me as I've never ridden with any of you boys but just from my point of view, I can state I personally have never used the other side of the road into blind corners EVER and if someone does its beyond comprehension that they are still even alive.dave#3 wrote:I'm pretty sure I saw a video of bikes on the way down using about the same amount of the oncoming lanes into blind corners? Blind corners is a whole new ball game.Jonnymac wrote:I know your not referring to me as I've never ridden with any of you boys but just from my point of view, I can state I personally have never used the other side of the road into blind corners EVER and if someone does its beyond comprehension that they are still even alive.dave#3 wrote:I'm pretty sure I saw a video of bikes on the way down using about the same amount of the oncoming lanes into blind corners? Just my point of view, that if that's the case its quite an amazing feat they are still living.
Read into that what you will.....
But if its true then "glass houses".......
With another vehicle coming the other way? And then not moving out of the way of that vehicle so it has to run off the road to avoid a collision?dave#3 wrote:I'm pretty sure I saw a video of bikes on the way down using about the same amount of the oncoming lanes into blind corners? Who the fuck are you?anzac30 wrote:Exactly
I'm pretty sure they weren't blind corners in that video and the people involved would most certainly have moved back into their lanes, if or when they saw oncoming traffic, not just kept on their merry way, forcing said oncoming traffic off the road.dave#3 wrote:I'm pretty sure I saw a video of bikes on the way down using about the same amount of the oncoming lanes into blind corners? If you go flying around corners hoping no one is around the corner then I don't think you will be passing your opinion on this forum for too long because you will probably be dead!anzac30 wrote:I think realistically , whilst still a gazetted road, there are lots of signs re logging trucks, clearly, he was on the wrong side of the road as I also found out, if you are on these roads , it's an occupational hazard unfortunately.
I think we are all guilty of flying around corners hoping no one is around the corner
Sending selected footage from your race cam to the police seems a little childish, unless everyone was obeying the speed limit. Me included.
anzac30 wrote:I copped him first, same deal, had to hit the dirt, I signalled to him more bikes behind, obviously , he cares not. Send it to the cops, hopefully some good may come of it. Mike h
So which is it?anzac30 wrote:Sending selected footage from your race cam to the police seems a little childish, unless everyone was obeying the speed limit. Me included.
