Not sure what to say - I signed up for this thread a year or so ago, by jan this year I bulked up to about 97Kg and went up to a 38" waist for the first time ever!

Then I got ill. Went through some shit, got stressed, illness got worse, blah blah blah.

I purchased some new jeans last week, they're a 34" waist - first time I've been that size in 20 years. I think I've dropped 15Kg but don't have scales any more.

I went to the gym last week to do some cardio work - 45 mins on the treadmill & rowing machine (no weights at all, never really got out of breath but hart rate was at 150 on the row machine). Slept for 14 hours straight. Guess I'm not better yet, but I think my weight is stabilising?

Good luck to all

Good to hear you are on the mend Mike & back in the 34's ....... your dimensions sound real similar but I was only working back from 90 kegs....... just had all my 36-38 boardshorts adjusted back to 34's ready for summer
there is no turning back now

It's so hard keeping the weight down as you get older. I got slack and put on a few kilos. I started riding my bike a few times a week. Started in late feb and have lost 7 kilos so far. But I'm not worried about the weight but rather trimming down. Now right into the bike and loving it. Trying to do one big ride a week min during the colder months. Last week was my longest ride. We did 115km. Rode from Preston to king lake west and through Humevale. Some nice hills through there. Dammmm! I think by the warmer months my leathers will be a little too big.

Wow 115km!!!!!!!

Holy crap!!!!
I'm happy with my 20km a couple of times a week !!
Admittedly I'm on a mountain bike and my understanding of road bikes they are a lot more efficient.

Speaking of new bikes I've got a new cyclocross in the works at the moment :)

You'll be surprised how quickly you can build up your fitness. A few years back would only do max of 50km. It helps when you're out with a couple of guys who are building fitness also and we push each other to go that little bit more and quicker.
Bike makes a difference as mentioned also. Keep up the hard work guys.

Lol me too John, but im back on the fitness train.
600g down and only 40kg to go. Well at least 30.
Gluten free which helps too. Back at tge gym from Monday do should drop the excess pretty quick.
I cant believe its almost 12mth since my surgery+paralysing stroke.
For the first time in ages I feel like im moving forward.
Hoping to be back on a dirt bike in the new year which will help with the fittness.

Ill have to make a time to visit :)

EDU wrote:Well, my plans backfire a bit and then not so much... you see, I ate myself back into the 80's (82Kg) during the holidays but then broke my collarbone on a stupid crash at Wakefield on the 27th of Dec and since then I dropped 6Kg simply because I'm too lazy to cook or eat with just one hand!

I do have to give up coffee though... I love it to death but I need to at least drop it to a cup a day.

So I didn't give up coffee... love it too much goddamit! Also didn't change anything else and didn't exercise... it didn't stop the weight from moving elsewhere though so I took a celebratory picture! :kuda:

Don't worry, I'm not naked and my toes are very normal (in my family).

This is from about a month ago and I've even seen the ellusive 68 in there some mornings... not on Mondays though! hahaha

I'm also glad I posted about it here earlier as I wasn't unsure exactly how much I'd lost... found this on page 2!

"Start weight: 84k on 12/10/12
Current weight: 78Kg
Target weight: 70Kg (last time I saw that on a scale I was 14-15yo... probably in Roman numerals too)"

it should improve my hp/kg ratio when riding the ZX6R... so I've promised myself to re-fit the Race ECU and take the bike to a dyno to get it tuned!
8) 8)

Then again, if I were to lose another 5Kgs... racing in the Ninja300 Cup wouldn't be so out of the question!

Sweet Keep it up guys, Jonno that's some big numbers mate, quite impressive 8)
Im still hovering about mid 70's but the next month will see some rapid weight loss as I am aiming for minimum 150kms training on the push bike each week as well as the gym 3-4 days in between.... hopefully I can manage the intake better as I am finding burning the calories is making me hungry
Still on target for next years race season which is 3 months away.
