Cheers...Kev.
Not much to report...still waiting on bits.
In the meantime I removed the baffles, decoked their insides and painted the chambers with VHT high temp flame proof paint.
Had the guy at the powder coater's cook them in his oven for me.....
I'm on the lookout for some 50mm exhaust tips...preferably alloy to finish the tips on the pipes...."any suggestions appreciated".

Gos seems to think there "Hanco Chambers" made in Brisbane around that period.
Cool pic BTW....

They would have been 3 piece like my pic above...the 2 right hand ones exit on the right side.

As in header clamping to rest of pipe?? OEM headers are quite often used cause they are usually a large % of manufacture costs.
On my RD400 I've got Allspeed chambers onto OEM headers, but my S1triple will have onepiece Higgspeeds.

Yeah thats what I was talking about. Mine clamped to the OEM headers. Which makes them 2 peice pipes..

I had my gondola paddled alright - plenty of vino rosso makes the cook-o very horny-o.
But back home now, no more of those farken gondoliers.......they are lazy bastards actually.
Steve - not sure at all on your pipes, back in the day there were a heap of pipe-builders around - a lot of them did what you had - OEM header pipes and just built the rest of the chamber to attach to the header pipe. A lot easier and cheaper to make.....
I am pretty sure that the pipes on Dave's H1 are Hanco pipes, they look almost identical to a set of Hanco pipes I have for the H2. Denco (US) also made good chambers for the bigger triples.....the yanks also had a stack of pipe-builders back then, you could buy a complete set of chambers for $120 !!
The best pipes have tapered headers. You can still buy these new in Japan for the H2........check these out !!

Have had a few setbacks on the rebuild.
Found the main wiring harness had a nuclear meltdown at on stage.
New oem s/h harness on the way.
The front spokes turned out to be 5mm short..... couldn't work out why they didn't look the same as the pic I took for reference.
Now sorted with an emergency shipment from Z1Enterprises.
Finally got it on its feet today...slowly coming together after 1 months work.
Still waiting on rings and the chrome fork ears to make some more progress.
