Strika, whilst I agree with your thought process I think you are not articulating yourself well. As the only people who were there are Tym2go and his mate one can not accurately say what the situation was. The sticks did cause the crash as the rider had not learned to deal with such a situation, the flip side is not all are capable of this in any case. Some are capable of riding over sticks without fear others can not. The difference between the best and the worst is self belief and the panic syndrome. No offence Tym2go but what sets the better riders from the lesser ones is the ability to process information, the more you can process the more you can deal with. Panic is caused by the brain tensing the muscles as it can not deal with all of what it is being presented with. In your case riding at a fair speed (relative to your ability) through a corner was what it could handle, coming upon sticks on the road and not being able to deal with the situation caused a panic reaction which is the normal way a person's brain will react if it can't process the problem.
However you can train the brain to deal with panic situations by practicing these situations in a controlled environment where the chances of failure are slim, as you succeed you can make the situation harder and harder to the point you are riding over a tree (okay slight exaggeration) Problem here is the first experience here has resulted in a crash. The hardest thing is coming back from a crash as you are looking for the next tree branch, so rather than wait for that to happen go find them and ride over them, practice and overcome the fear that is now present within you.
On fixing the fairings, I wouldn't just in case you have a garage drop

. What I would do is keep an eye out for a cheap set and get them so that when you upgrade the bike you can sell it looking all shiny and new

either that or pretend to be the stig or
last option slow down dramatically

That's what I wanted to hear!

Good man! Now you are starting to understand what it's all about. That alone will save you most times.
Naked twin, I well may have articulated it more had I not wanted T2Go to work it out rather than have me map it out for him. He has now answered my question. Not only answered it, but also by his response appears to understand now what the issue was and may be better prepared next time.

Young Fitzy, sorry to hear about your off mate, hope you heal up faster that expected.
The downside of letting to mend your shoulder by itself, I don't know if your doctor told you, your shoulders will not be perfect any more, thus no more underwear modelling for you in this lifetime

Of course it could just be a coincidence, but i've broken a lot of bones. The ones that have been pinned, screwed, plated or a combination of those, work perfectly now. The ones I let heal on there own, have restricted movement, less strength and are often painful.

i did get the opinions of the docs a few of them actually most recommend that surgery is not required but the down side is i will loose a bit of mobility/strength all though they haven't yet told me what % that number is and i did look into those on ebay and gumtree but this occurred the same day i was going to check it out so that has been delayed for now wont be riding for another 2 months give or take a few weeks
p.s got the bike back today and it looks a bit worse than the photos the fairings are glued on just near the indicator those are not cracked, they've literally come of as in there's a hole so might look into getting that replaced along with the exhaust guard, brake lever, indicator bulbs/ indicator
