ThanX EVERYONE for the words of encouragement and well wishes, not to mention the many many many offers of sponge baths (you're a deadset classic Cath ). And to all those that made me laugh . . . OUCH!!

Oh and talk bout being watched over; would you believe there was a Dr and Nurse in the car in front of us at the accident. From what I've been told, they ensured I wasn't moved.
I mean seriously, can someone have any more luck come into play?

Actually for a short while I was 'Robyn Unknown' as I didn't have any ID on me at the time. My belongings and my 'tag' were all titled Robyn Unknown.
Something I find odd is my birthday is 14/04 and the accident was 14/03 . . . . any physics out there? I know, I know, I'm clutching at straws now - or maybe it's just the amount of drugs I've been on of late?? It just seems weird to me, thats all. A saying that is on both my FB page and stuck on my car is 'speed now, die later'. Someone pointed out to me that 'you shouldn't ride faster than your angel can fly' . . . . I like that, I thought that was really cool.

In regard to pics . . . yeh, I wanted to get a pic of the tube sticking outta my lung. I thought that woulda made a good profile pic on FB, but I missed that opp.
I do have some pretty colourful bruising, and the damage to my knee is pretty grosse but hey, tbh atm it's all too hard. I struggle just sitting down or getting up, or even sitting at the computer for more than 10mins and that's without mentioning that just breathing is painful. Trust me, everything hurts - big time!
Having said that tho, I've been out and about walking to the shops and around the block to the park, just to make sure I'm using my lungs - it's a lot more entertaining than doing the exercises the physio gave me - I run out of puff quickly, but hey you can't expect too much from a disabled just outta hospital.

And ftr there wasn't a particular reason for only a couple of people being aware of the incident, sometimes things just work out that way. In regard to the ambo's . . . they came to visit me twice in ICU to see how I was doing, which I thought was pretty darn special tbh.

For those who have questioned if I would get back on my bikes again . . . . . Fark YEH! That is one question to which the answer will always remain the same (well certainly whilst ever I am physically able anyway)!

Riding is my passion - I love it - I love everything related to it - all my annual leave is used for bike related holidays - I can't think of anything else that even slightly compares with the feelings that riding gives me - riding ignites a fire inside me!!!

Just read your post, somebody was looking over you that day, for sure. Glad to hear your ok....well you know what I mean. I'm devastated to realise how far down on the sponge bath list I am though!!
Good advice on the protective gear, I like many others are guilty of not wearing the appropriate attire at times, food for thought!
