Nice bike mate. I got the same 1 also in black. Ive put a staintune pipe on it, fender eliminator and some clear lights t give it a nice black and chrome look.
are you planning to do any performance mods to it?

Mate it seems like every1 has a Z these days. I never even knew about the Z's till a few months ago when I has looking for a new bike. I was planning to buy a Zx6r because I was recently riding a ZX2r but I needed something more comfortable because I ride to and from work everyday.
My brother mentioned the Z750 to me(I was like what the hell is that) so I looked into it and managed to get my hands on an 05' with 900k's for $9k so I'm pretty happy about that. Love the ride, nice and smooth. Suspensions just a lil soft along the old road though.

Actually ive had a bit of bad luck with mine.I posted a while ago that i had the rear seat cover fly off on me and smash to bits.Well i managed to araldite the broken bits back together,so at least i can use it,but its all scratched and will need to be repainted one day. Then i went out to the reefton on it this sunday and had the fender eliminator crack and brake and leave me with an indicator hanging by its wire dragging on my back tyre.It seems everytime i go out on it something falls off, wtf?
Also hit another false netural comming down the reefton which was not an appropriate time to happen.I was banging down gears and braking for a corner only to find that when letting the clutch out comming into a corner,i had managed to hit yet another false netural and sort of ended up running wide as the engine braking thing didnt happen.I really am getting a little frustrated with this gearbox and dare i say it,it just seems to me that this bike was built to a price and just doesnt seem to have the quality finish that my VFR had.

Yeah Ive had a few problems with the false neutral but not with things falling off. I had a problem with my brothers CBR losing its rear seat but that was his and not mine.
The false neutral only happens to me when Im dropping down from 2nd to first so it doesnt really effect me when im gunning it around.
Overall I am happy with the Z.

Have noticed the quality is a bit suss with the foot peg brackets but you get what you pay for & I think it is a bit unfair to compare a VFR

With the false neutrals its a matter of positive gear shifts :D
