I think we discussed that story before.
20 hp with a slip on, filter and jet kit...
I call B.S.

I had a couple (dozen) more bits in my nine and it just got 150...
and none of my dyno graphs were done in crayon either... :-)

You wouldn't waste your money on a 10 if you can get 152hp out of 9 with a few hundred $ of mods.. A 10 only puts out about another 5 or so HP more....
Imagine that 9 with a full system some headwork, ignition advancer and straight thru air ducts.. it'd be well over 160... "cough" bullshit. "cough"....

I see a little more info the sig there Hoffy....

You got it yet.???

Well as Hoffy SHOULD have told you.
The best way to get performance out of a 9 is to trade it on a 12 8) :lol: :wink:

Hi diesel, if you feel that the B1 has sentimental value and some money to splosh on it here are some of the things i did on my 94 B1....
Engine;
K&N airfilters, Plug the kleen air system, Vance & Hines Powerpak, Ported and skimmed the head to increase compression, +4 ignition advancer, Factory pro Jet kit, Flo-Commander kit for the carbs, Barnett heavy duty clutch springs,clutch friction/steel plates, radiator core custom made to thicker size to help temperature increase and engine sprocket 2 sets, +1 for good top speed blast and touring and the other -1 for good pick up and track work, exhaust D&D awesome sound.
Handling;
Front- Race tech valves and spring, lowered front forks by 8mm,Brake pads carbone lorraine SBK2
Rear- Ohlins suspension with ride height increased by 10mm depending on rear wheel grip when blasting out of corners( Can set ride height from original height adjusters on the B1 by adding 5mm spacers )
Others;
Brake lines and hydraulic clutch lines change to steel braided ones, Tires i use are Metzelers RS2 medium compound, surprisingly good grip and mileage for a bike that weighs like it is, you can make the clip-ons to a wider angle by drilling and tapping extra mounting points at the bottom of the top triple clamp to have extra leverage for ease of turning but at cost of front cowling maximum turn clearance for the handlebars.

Hope info helps, cause i love the B1, bloody comfortable bike plus stable at illegall speeds.

Warning; Radiator hoses need constant care cause mine exploded at the left hand side of the engine while i am on board :shock: it aint pretty, still got scars on my left leg from the boiling coolant and the image of the bike still moving off without me onboard :oops:
