mental note;stay off South Pine Rd when coming back from Mt Mee on Sunday
Bad luck mate,got booked 4wks ago 77 in a 50 $250,always watch the speedo now around the city...try the letter mate and take it from there,costs 50 cents and some time.

I'm just going with the letter. I don't hold out to much hope on that. But if I can get the 1st ticket dropped, then that's better than none. The letter is pretty tame cause the Chief Officer would just laugh if I tried to say I will take it to court when he sees the speeds written on the tickets. So no 'I'll make you an offer you can't refuse'...
As far as the concurrent serving of the suspension goes, well i called up QLD Transport and they confirmed that this can be done. So in total I will have a 6 month suspension .
Someone mentioned about insurance, so I will have to call up both car and bike and find out what the go is with having these demerit points.

Apart from the being done twice thing, I have to agree with Neka (I cant believe I said that)
The ONLY rule is dont get caught.
You KNEW you were speeding
How many times do you get away with it (at higher speeds yet)
Dont bitch when you get caught.....
However did I tell you about the time ......
... and then there was....
I would be VERY worried that the 2nd fine will attract the NEW double points, you BETTER fight that double up REAL hard I reckon....

He raises a good point I hadn't thought of. These new rules we have, get done over 20km/h twice and its double.
As you checked out, it is possible to serve them concurrently, as I said, I'm doing 2 x 6 month suspensions as I sit here typing this. only 73 days to go.

Guys,
Dropped my letter of round the Petrie station. Turned up on my pushy too! (I ride the bike a fair bit in the week).
Here's the main paragraph that I put in the letter....
'The purpose of this letter is to request that one of the infringements be dismissed as it is identical to the second one except on an adjoining road. Both infringement notices represent the same incident rather than two separate counts.'
Not holding my breath as I don't know the finer points of the law, but I did get some advice on the wording of the letter, so fingers crossed ....

oh yeah,
and as far as those guys wanted to get bust by a lady cop (yep I've seen a few hotties too)... the lyrics from a redhotchillipeppers song come to mind...
