If you guys ride at Nana speed Plasma, maybe I should move down there, sounds like my style
The guy didn't get booked, the cops accused him of doing it, he denied it, they tried to get him to admit that it he'd done it, he was smart enough not too, didn't get booked.
Another person in qld recently got booked becasue the cop said he *heard* him doing 200kmh, so he booked him for it. Didn't see him, just heard! He's taking it to court.

I totally agree here Brett
I have only written a few of ride reports, not the best read, but after thoroughly enjoying my ride ,I felt this was the place to share it.
So what if the cops read these forums.
ps
maybe not mentioning speeds would be a good thing

I haven't seen your name on any t-shirt or hat orders..Strika wrote:. I also understand about giving back to an organisation, which I do whenever I can or am asked.

Anyways, I'm not going to buy into this as I don't write many ride reports but I usually read those posted by others. I don't mind Strika's reports and take a lot of it with a grain of salt as I do with others..
I'd think the chances of the cops reading any of this very slim so let ppl post what they want...
Having said that, I would like to think most ppl on here would act "somewhat" responsably on a ride and there wouldn't be too much to report that gets ppl in trouble.
So lets all put our ego's away until after the next track day..

I for one enjoy the read of a fully descriptive ride report and I dont think that there is much harm in being explicit about the details.
Detailed descriptions and insights into the wonderful world of Kawasaki sports bikes is what the site offers. It is good to hear the ravings of those who might have had a good day out and feel the desire to put it up as a post. if this means that you have to mention the first person several times then WGAF.
Without this the posts would become an endless list of *Hi, I'm new here and....* or *Do you think I should get the red one or the green one...*
So lets keep it up.

I write reports that are factual. What is written happens (although this may change a little in as far as how candid I now am). I write in a very matter of fact manner I understand. But I do not have a belief that i am in any way shape or form a riding "expert". Far from it. I have some experience. More than some others, lots less than loads more. I have some skill. More than some, less than lots of others.
If for some reason, you choose to read my ride reports, and interpret my comments as anything more than just a reflection of the fun that I have had on that ride, then so be it. But please, I would respectfully request that you keep your erronius comments to yourselves until you get to KNOW me. Then by all means judge your little heart away, as you will have some factual basis.
If I was, on a scale of 1-100 a rider in the bottom 10% in terms of skills and ability, and I wrote about passing another rider, then you would all be Woohooing and congratulating me on my improvement. Now I am not looking for praise in any way, but what i would like is just for you to read my ride reports or posts and leave it at that. I am sure I don't run around poking fun at others in this way, and certainly don't take too kindly to being referred to as conceited. Those who actually know me, know that I am as down to earth as they come. So therefore I take offence to being reffered to in this vein!
If posting a pic of my bike is conceited, then so be it......I just thought that part of what a forum was for, was for people to share there Motorcycling thoughts, Ideas, experiences, trials and tribulations?
If you enjoy my ride reports or posts, read em and hopefully share some of the experiences with me, or pull your head in and shut the fuck up!

I think the
or the
or even the
or the
can be taken as *yes I am either taking the piss / not fully serious* ......*so don't get your knickers in a twist*......
Its far better to get feedback about your ride reports, and feedback can be both ways, if you take it on the chin and learn from it, then your ride reports (and I am referring to *all* ride reports submitted, not any specific *individual* reports), your ride reports will only improve.
This is a good thing - there were a lot of members in the old Z Owners branch I used to ride with, who always wanted to do ride reports, but just couldn't write them...........so it always ended up with only 1 or 2 members doing them.
If some of the newer members to the Club, and biking in general can learn from the forum how to do a decent report, then everyone is a winner..

Been reading intently on this thread and to me no one ride report is the same in taste and style but for those who read them will either learn of something new to polish up their skills from someone who has done it better before or learn fom information gathered like road types, places to stop and places to enjoy with your mates, emergency plans, spots to look out for plods, types of riding effected by weather and condition of rider during the rides.
Me and my mates here usually write ride-reports into scrap books which includes maps, hotels, activities done, distance covered/time and $ spent on the trip for future ref.We don't usually write about the speed we're travellin at but for those who read and calculate the time taken to cover the distance they will know
So it all depends on who reads them and we compare info with other ride groups and share the info.
Some info is better than no info and yes we to disagree but later we laugh it off cause no matter what, that is what makes us interesting as riders of a two wheeled motorized machine

Well, I think this ego trip, who's better than who needs sorting out once and for all.
Now I like Gos, he's funny and all, but I haven't ridden with him. But, anyone who can scrape the fairing on a 12 is doing OK.
Marty (Strika) is down to earth, knows his bikes (sorts suspension for people etc) and leaves me standing at every corner. He's also a bloke I consider a friend.
I also wouldn't want anything out of hand or illegal on the road, so everybody book into MotoGP in September and we'll throw it all on the line. Balls out, hard line racing on controled enviroment...
Go carting anyone?
