Well 30 Nm from a 6.2 litre extra compared with a 5.0 Litre which is heaps lighter and this transfers to the front end of the car, handling would surely be better ,mmmm handling lighter front verses 30 nm,but less kw. these figures also after 9 runs,i would like to see the GTS figures after 9 runs as with S/chargers heat does affect performance.Bottom line the GTS is nowhere near 430 Kw. ;) Ford claim 351 well there 2.4 kw out quite easyily explained by temp or dyno readings. Holden how ever . A wopping 91 kw lower than they claim.i Call bullshit badge on GTS. :P

Holden have always advertised flywheel figures not rear wheel. Not saying I agree with that though. Good to see ford finally TRYING to step up.
Now if that could just match the brake package, diff package, magnetic suspension package and tech package then there may be a battle on the map.
I'd still like to see the ford catch it around the track.

Yep if the car sold for 1000,000 plus on roads instead of 77,000 plus on roads im pretty sure they could sqeeze a heap of stuff into it.
Of course there not going to do that on a run of 550 cars.Just wait and see what the new XR8 comes out with.this will be priced similar to a ss dunnydore but will come with a 335 kw s/charged engine, the same engine run in the last GT which goes without saying is 335 kw at wheels. There will be SS commodore dudes at the lights wondering why there hand brake is permanently on (but its not ) as they see XR8 tail lights disappear into the night ;)

It is disappointing and sad that the traditional Ford Holden banter will soon be a thing of the past and like the cars will be a part of history.
It baffles me how over the years this industry has not been able to fire. For gods sake .even the English have a car industry ,the yanks saved theres, shit even the Italians still make Fiats, Russians make Skodas ,Swiss Volvos .there is something wrong with this story lazy executives ,consistant wrong choices, bad business planning, lack of development the list goes on.I believe also a part of this is Australians short term thinking and she will be right mate mentality has also played a part in the demise of thousands of jobs that will NEVER be replaced and hundreds of businesses that will never do business again.
Anyway it is good to see ford go out with some great cars.

It's a dam shame but unfortunately both have put out some sloppy quality cars in the past. It's a pity because in most respects pretty much all aspects of the cars are top notch and certainly conceptually up there with the best.

I remember my first VXSS. At the same time a mate got an XR8. Mine burnt oil, blew an oil pump, shat a gearbox and eventually got rebuilt. His got delivered with no head gaskets and detonated to the point of destroying the engine. He got it fixed and then the diff crapped out. Despite that next time round I got a VYSS and he got a FPV, both of which were awesome cars. For anyone who wasn't a Holden/Ford nutter though they would have run a mile and bought a Toyota.

Looks like in the future I'll be talking about how my Camaro shits on your Mustang

My VF wagon has had the complete Stereo/Nav system replaced, seat belt recall, front seats recall and today received a letter for something to do with the wipers. 4000km's old... Awesome

I only bought it bc the backseat comfortably fits three kids seats across. The territory was too big for inner city stuff for us. Otherwise I agree there isnt much that fitted the above criteria above. Hope you get better results with yours!
