Invest in a track day mate, the road's not a good place to learn the turning-tarmac-touch! Start by putting the ball of your foot on the peg coming into the turn and getting more and more comfortable moving off the bike - and look way through the turn too.

Yeah probably didn't have it down, I tend to touch the lift back up straight away. Despite the fact i find your going slower dragging it along on the deck it was costing me a fortune in sliders :/

You could get your knee down on that little thing with it upright.
At least I can bend my knees enough to ride it :P

When I went looking for pics I found some of me riding at a track day many, many years ago. Not much different to your pic I dont reckon, it reminds you that everyone starts somewhere. Maybe a thread of pics before and current??

Anyway just take your own time and invest in schools, track days etc. You may not touch down but you will become a better rider for it and that is the main aim. If you wanna go faster at the track then you will crash, but thats part of the fun ..... kinda

Yep I just use it as a bit of a gauge too, you could cook a set of knee sliders in a day and realistically for not much reason...
