Essendon @ Etihad (rewards fast-running sides that use all the ground) Like Geelong!
What Geelong side are you talking about ? The one playing this year are the greatest players of corridor football in the AFL !! They are good at this when all the players are playing well - but this style of footy bites them on the arse when the skills go missing - just like they did when they got beaten by the Pies. Corridor football is not using all the ground Mick

Ok so won that one
mick_dundee wrote:....Crows @ home Winnable, not many teams come close to us there....
yeh well Adelaide are playing heaps better football so on form alone the Crows get this win. Losing Tippett will be a big blow for them - this could tip the game in Cats favour. Home ground at Unskilled Stadium only matters against bottom 8 sides, which is what the Cats play there 9 games out of every 10. Cats rarely play the good sides at home.

Ok so won this one too
mick_dundee wrote:.....Hawks @ MCG We have a GREAT recent record against the Hawks......
   yeh 2008 was a stellar season !! hahaah mate Hawks are going to dish out an absolute pasting when they meet the Pussies at the G. Don't kid yourself about the Hawks they are the real deal.

About that pasting, not today Josephine!!!
mick_dundee wrote:.....Eagles @ perth  We have a good away record....
 only if you count *away* games as Etihad or the MCG !!! hahahahahah good luck over there, Eagles will be playing for a top 2 position and a home final in this game. You lot have buckleys.

I think we'll be thereabouts even against the Weagles, main problem for us this year has been he ruck and the Weagles have an awesome ruck combo alas
mick_dundee wrote:.....Saints @ Etihad ( Saints kick arse here) We kick better arse, best record of ANY team at Etihad, saints are struggling to tie their shoelaces.....

best record of any team at Etihad ?? I reckon the Saints are more than capable of matching the Cats at Etihad. They are playing good - but inconsistent - footy. It really depends on which Saints side shows on the night.

We'll spank the Saints no drama
mick_dundee wrote:......Bulldogs @ home ( btw - this is the only game in the run home that is a guaranteed 4 points for the Cats) We'll moider the bums........
No arguments there !

mick_dundee wrote:.......Swans @ home. As above, we are the ONLY Victorian team left in the comp with a genuine home ground advantage........
Maybe. Swans can choke the life out of any team, and playing at Unskilled Stadium holds no fears for them. Remember that winning streak you had against those bottom-8 teams for a few years ??  who busted that little cherry....
mick_dundee wrote:......Geelong are FAR from a spent force!!!! Sure we're a little older and slower than last year but we'l be thereabouts again this year!......
Even being a Pieman, and doing the ladder calculator my way - yes, the Cats will still make the 8, but only on % against Essendon and Richmond.

Might want to re tweak your calculator a bit Gosmeister, we might be top 4 yet!!!

This one is the only game that matters doesn't matter how many you win in the regular seasonImage

Don't agree with that, Hawks have proven themselves well capable of beating good sides without Buddy. Were beaten by the pussies that's true, not lost to Hawthorn since JFK opened his fat trap in 2008.

As for your post jonnymac, no argument but you have to win enough regular season games to make that last game in September.

that was a ripper game last night. No doubt that the Pussies are actually finding some form at the right end of the year.

Could be a couple of players from both sides looking forward nervously to the MRP !

Shiels will cop one or two I think.
Goo shouldn't he hit the chest and as pods milked it his elbow barely rode up and hit his neck, amazing how pods was out cold making sure the ump saw it and then when he was given the belated free he jumped up quick as a flash.......
Credit to Geelong they did well.
So hard for me to watch live, it's the sixth one I've been too since the GF that we've lost.
Umps where bad both ways, so many game moments going through my mind that an inch here or there coulda/shoulda/woulda changed the result...
Hopefully the game was good for us going into the finals

Weagles are gone mate. They will be lucky to hang into the 8 and will have an away prelim probably against your Pussies !! Those 2 positions have swapped around in only the last 4 weeks

Really looking forward to going to the footy this Saturday night !! :kuda: Beatles Bolton is out for about a month, he is a big loss and will be very hard to cover. Swans have been our bunnies for 10 games in a row and they don't like playing at ANZ anyway.......should be a great game methinks.

Thought it would be an opportune time for a recap so Gos can readjust his calculator somewhat :)
Gosling1 wrote:Geelong ???     mate they won't even be in the 8 at the end of the h&a season. Have you seen their draw ?

Essendon @ Etihad (rewards fast-running sides that use all the ground)
Won by 67 points
Gosling1 wrote:Crows @ home
Won by 27 points
Gosling1 wrote:Hawks @ MCG
Won by 2 points
Gosling1 wrote:Eagles @ perth
Lost, a little unluckily and not by much
Gosling1 wrote:Saints @ Etihad ( Saints kick arse here)
Not our arse, I repeat, games won from games played at Colonial, Etihad and all it's other names, we rule the roost!
Gosling1 wrote:Bulldogs @ home ( btw - this is the only game in the run home that is a guaranteed 4 points for the Cats)
We'll probably drop this one, been a while since we lost at home though.
Gosling1 wrote:Swans @ home.
Will be a nice way to end the season, with a tough game in the leadup to the finals.

Cats have the hardest run home of any team currently in the 8. Saints & Roos are both currently playing better footy than the Cats and both have easier runs home.

Don't forget - it was only last weekend that the Cats struggled to beat the worst team in the comp by 2 goals !!! that is the form of a team that has a snowballs chance in hell of winning a GF this year.

Geelong aren't done for yet big feller :) I don't see Pies winning it incidentally, Hawks, Swans or Eagles, just maybe the Cats but we will need to win 4 finals I think in a row.
