You have been pretty lucky picking her up mate, you definitely have a good one there for you to get so much enjoyment from her.

Yeah Jonno, she is turnng out to be a good one. She has some issues. SHe shy's away from hedges and bushes, she can be a little jumpy with the wind and loud noises and she chews stuff. Like my new Oakley prescription sunnies this morning while I was having a shower. But, she is generally very obedient, usually confident and outgoing and can be praise or food motivated which makes training easier.
I am thinking of making a box to attach to the Hepco & Becker top box rack on the ZRX, so I can take her away on bike weekends and day trips. i have researched a few recently, but they are all American and not what I would call tasteful!!!

Got them both today..

Just for the day and tonight, but, it's the first step in a process which I know where it will end..
I took them to the puppy park and the pic in thecar is on the way home. I think they may have been tired....

It's becoming more and more regular. Ozkar has been at my place Tues, Thur, Friday, Sunday this week!!

I think he may end up here again tomorrow PM as well!! so, allowing the inconvenience of having a puppy start to ingress her lifestyle is already delivering the outcomes I had anticipated.

Ozkar just got here, so the two of them are currentlt rolling around on the floor wrestling totally excited and out of control!

They really do adore each other, it's so cool to watch the happiness in their eyes when they see each other.
Ozkar walked in the door, saw me, wagged his tail, headed towards me, saw Zsa Zsa, changed direction towards her and jumped straight up on her to play and they havn't stopped since!
On Friday, they exhausted each other so much, that Zsa Zsa only wanted one walk yesterday.

Poor little thing was stuffed!

Ozkar & Zsa Zsa havn't stopped all day. But, both are asleep under my feet right now. I think they will both sleep well again tonight.
Ozkar is getting so big. He is still a gorgeous little boy though. He still loves his Vizsla cuddles. (Where he pops a paw up on each of my shoulders and wrests his chin in the crook of my neck)

They are absolutely gorgeous. Oscar knows where he likes to be and Zsa Zsa has the most amazing markings.

I just typed out a reply to your post Possum and lost it in the ether!
Ozkar is here again and the two of them have been going nuts all day. I took some pain killers and took them for a two hour walk. They didn't stop. Then home for dinner, then aother wrestle on the loungroom floor while I typed out the first reply I lost. Then, I thought I would occupy them with a nice big juicy beef bone each. So currently, Ozkar is going to town on his while Zsa Zsa is just sitting hers gaurding it. Bones are the only thing I need to supervise them with together. They are ok with chews, toys, food, pats. But, with bones, I have to seperate them to stop arguments. They never bite each other, just growl at each other.....it's funny when you know how viscious they are!!!!
But fuck me, Zsa Zsa has gotten FAT! It sorta happened over four or five days. She went from underweight, to overweight! It's the food intake not lack of exercise. So I have just cut back the food a few days ago. She is already starting to look a little better. But, I will have to watch her, as she can put on weight very rapidly. I also think that perhaps she has never really had a good quality food. So, I blame Glen for Zsa Zsa getting fat. He called me and told me of this fantastic brand of dog food which Ozzie loved and worked well with her, so I went and bought some. Well fuck me, she stacked the weight on from that moment on!! So it's all Glen's fault! (Her anal gland just failed again...another result of the good food...thanks again Glen

)

Ozkar's are worse, he is on Pro-plan. I think the Royal Canin is far better. Zsa Zsa just stacked the weight on from the moment she started eating it. I am now feeding her well below the daily recommended amount on tha packet. Otherwise I will have the fattest German Shorthaired Pointer in Australia. I looked at her the other day and thought...you fat little pudge, your going on a diet!

She has started to trim down again, it hasn't taken long. I will find a level where she is sustatined without getting fat soon enough. Every dog is different.
Ozkar was here yesterday and he is back again now and staying till tomorrow night.

So, we are off to a friend's birthday for a couple of hours till I run out of energy. Then tomorrow, apart from working most of the day, I am putting two hours aside to take the both of them down to the local bushwalk. It's great, it's got creeks, paddocks, bushland, trails, tracks and dirt roads, kangaroos and lots of birds. All the things gun dogs love! So they should have a ball.
Zsa Zsa spent half an hour on the oval today chasing these little birds all over it. She isn't very successful. The noisy metal tags I have hanging off her collar don't help her success. But, I don't want her actually catching them, just having fun pointing, stalking and then flushing them out. It was interesting watching her today trying to figure out how the hell she was going to get hold of one of these things. You could see the look on her face as she analysed their every move looking for a way to get near one. she is becoming a really interesting little girl.
Ozkar hasn't changed. I think we should have called him Pluto! He's such a big lanky clumsy looking thing at the moment. It's very cute!

Finally, a playmate for Zsa Zsa has been found. I have great pleasure in introducing you to Zsa Zsa's new house mate. He is a 6 1/2 month old Hungarian Vizsla the same breed as Ozkar. He is being rehomed due the the family not being able to keep up with his physical and mental stimulation needs and have decided to rehome him through the breeder. The pic is an old one of when he was 9 or 10 weeks old. I will post a more current pic once I have taken one. He isn't home here yet, he arrives sometime Saturday. He is already house trained and has some basic obedience such as lead walking, sit, stay, heel & drop. So I have a lot less to do in training terms than I did with either Ozkar or Zsa Zsa.
I am yet to decide if Astro stays as Astro. Any Hungarian boys name suggestions are welcomed.

I may have to put some thought into that Marty. I'll ask my folks tomorrow night when I call in to see them. That's where they hail from.

Ahhh...some local knowledge would be good thanks Joe.
Joska, Miksa and Samuka are all interesting. Perhaps mum or dad could fill you in on what they mean???
