Thanks for the ideas guys! If all goes well I will look to smarten up the front end in the future. For now a few things are starting to come together.

I've stripped the paint from the outside sections of my new rear wheel and it's ready for polishing (before anyone asks the blue is tape protecting the black paint from the paint stripper :) )

The rear disc arrived from china today so the wheel can go on now :)

Still awaiting from china:
- rear blinkers
- screen
- fender eliminator

Wheel on
Disc on
New Screen on
New Rear Pads
Plugs Changed
Tank and bowls drained
New Clutch Lever

Went for the maiden 2 minute ride last night: PERFECT!

Got back, pulled up in the driveway and what the farking hell is going on at the front of the engine!?@?@%?$#%^?$#?%?@$?%?%^&?%^?&

It's got the wrong farking headers on it, the oil line to the oil cooler is touching the header and it's dropped all of the oil over the last 500m all over the road, the bike and me.

:-x :-x :-x :-x :-x :-x :-x :-x :-x :-x :-x :-x

The prick who owned the bike must have taken a full system off it before the insurance company took it, and he's installed some un-fitting system on it and made a death trap out of a bike, bloody amazing I didn't bin it in the rain both tyres covered in oil!!!

Ahhhhh ok few more steps to go now.....

No wonder the rear was spinning up so much powering it up the street in the rain...

Wrong system, should be a 4 into 1 system and run to the side of the sump. This is a 4 into 2 into 1 and one of the 2 pipes runs UNDER the sump and is touching the sump. No wonder I got caught on the ramp getting the bike onto the trailer.

It's a bastard act as far as I'm concerned. Fair enough if the guy wants to take his nice system off before it gets written off, but put something on that isn't gonna kill him or wreck the bike for the poor bugger who tries to get a cheap commuting and pillion bike on the road.

Looks like the full system is mandatory now, there's 2nd hand holeshot and kerker systems in the states on ebay but both have damage..... I'll keep looking I don't have a lot of time up my sleeve to get this on the road with the new nsw laws coming in to stop all re-registering of write offs.

Can anyone comment on the effect the crimping on the headers/link pipe on these systems will have on exhaust flow/performance?

bummer man, id stay away from crimping the exhaust... how about re-running the oil line away from the headers for now?
