No news at this stage mate apart from an email stating that the commissioner had passed my complaint on to one of the assistant commissioners and that the matter was being looked into. The email did say they were taking it seriously.
So it's still a waiting game. I'm confident nothing more will come from it - just waiting on a letter to confirm it really.

Sorry guys - had contact from LAC and was told no charges would be forthcoming. End of matter.
Whole incident left a bad taste in my mouth actually and makes me wonder if I'd hang around next time.

Don't let one dickhead change your good nature mate
Common sense prevailed in the end, and I'm sure he got put in line by a superior.

good work wayne.
excellent work for avoiding it in the first place.
some officers can be just blatantly ignorant of someones good willed behaviour.

Good work Wayne. You did the right thing all the way through this matter. Your legal rep is a bit of a knob I think, saying the cops might target you. If in fact they did you would have a very good case of police harasmant. So that wouldnt have happend. As for it going to court? I doubted that.
You did the exact right thing by lodging a written complaint to the LAC & giving the officers detail's. That triggers an invastigation into his record straight away. The LAC can not "sweep it under the rug" Good move.
The lesson here is:: If you think you have been wrongly treated in any way by the police you have a come back. Take all the infomation you can & make a formal complaint against him.
But be warned! If you bullshit them you will be in the shit bigtime. For making faulse & misleading statmants. That is an offence!!! So if your gonna take the cops on, make sure you ARE IN THE RIGHT.

Thanks for all the support - it's really appreciated
With my solicitor - he's based in Tamworth and it's not unknown there to receive "special attention" if you are not careful. Very different to down here with such a huge population lol
Out of it all tho it's important to remember your riding and survival skills when you're out there. Lots of idiots so take care
