Don't worry mate I know, that one's not very flattering! Like I said I was paying a lot of attention to the camera guy and wasn't very prepared for the corner... wasn't ready to roll and had to tip it in more than planned!
That said I reckon I'm at less lean angle, and about the same amount off the seat, as old mate in this pic... and not to the edge of the tyres... so I reckon there's *some* margin left.
Besides, I'm at the track to learn so it's good to stuff up, as long as I don't bin it

Haha I'll take that, big fella. Your 12R looks orright with that shorty pipe and that's a fair whack of lean.

Who is that guy? He looks like a giant poof

and THATS coming from the Lavendar Queen !!!!

You'd know *exactly* what a giant poof looks like wouldn't ya !!
Shifty - if you get the bellypan down, this is what it will look like.....
almost all that lot is from chasing certain ZX9R's and Zrex's down Mt Hotham. Before the suspension was set, nothing ever touched

and I am pretty sure that Hammer has actually worn a hole in his bellypan on the same side.....we hit the scales around the same specs according to Nanna.
Even with all those scrapes on the RH side - the RH peg never touched the deck once ! - so I reckon you must have got a toe down or something. You need to look right along the bottom edge of the bellypan, the scrapes on the MFP12 run the full length.....
I did have 002's on at that track day at the Creek, Wattie has a good memory.
Bloody heap of shit is still in at the local dealers, looks like Team Kawasaki Oz is dragging the chain on a replacement tank - after 3 and a bit years, the fucking tank has developed a bad leak at the welded seam where the fuel-guage sensor is fitted. At this point, the tank has not yet been replaced with a new one........

Those fairings are awesome
t was a fair way over but as I can't see any marks I'm thinking it must have been a toe...
From everything I've heard factory valving & spring rates are fairly well suited to a light rider from factory so now that it's finally been set up it should be plrety of fun and I want to get out for a few more track days. I found it would push the front a lot on turn-in but then hold a line really well... now it seems good although it's a little hard to tell after one session. I don't ride it day-to-day (insured with Shannons) and am scared of the hills on weekends (good behaviour license with 6 months to go

)
There was a cheap tank on ebay the other day...

If you can't spot any scratches on the bellypan, its a toe for sure....
Got some good news on the tank today......

well, this is a bit of an old thread....but instead of kicking off a new one, I thought better to go with one already here....
so I submit the latest effort at getting the 'wings' down on a Barge. It must be bloody close !!
This shot is from zxrjonno's missus - she took a heap of great shots at the weekend Introductory ride day at MDTC....
And even though I like left-handers more.......it was the right-handers that saw plenty of action on the weekend.......very happy with that.
This corner is a fast-ish right-hander at the end of the main straight. It drops away a bit if you get too far out in the middle of the track, and on one lap, I had a bit of a rear-end moment (maybe 200mm slide) but that was *it* for the day......
