[quote="dutch80au"]:shock: wow :shock:

I'll definately be showing this to my brothers when they get their L's. I think it'll really teach em a bit about riding responsabilty and consequences. Not just during a ride but also afterwards. Lots of maturity here..........who would've thought!! :lol: quote]

Already had a peak :shock:
ill keep that thought in the back of the head when i get to prop a leg over.

holy hole in a donut batman!!! I'm amazed that no-one was killed, it certainly looks a lot worse than broken bones, cuts and bruises. :shock: I have never been on a "spirited" group ride yet, but needless to say, after seeing the pics and reading the refreshingly honest truth(a lot of people would point the finger and blame someone/something else), when I do go on a ride like that, it will be with some caution. Thanks to those who were involved for sharing this, and the wisdom that was gained from the experience.

Damn, i have seen the pics b4 but always wanted to know wtf happen. It opens your eyes when you read every thread with detail and realise wow, ill be riding that road on Sunday. All i can say is that ill be riding my own pace and what ever people want to do they can do. REading a few posts about not looking ahead yes im guilt of {VERY SORRY CATH & DAVE3}, but think i improve on my techniques everyday i ride, Still a newbie! i will be taking everyones comments into consideration on Sunday. And yes insurance is a must when you are doing rides like this.

WOOOOW that was intense!!!! Thanks guys for sharing it, I'm new to bike riding and this is a real eye opener to what can go wrong!

recently after getting my p's I've always ridden to the limit, used to think its only so i don't loose my license...now after reading this i ride responsibly not just for my license but for my well being and other road users! I hope other learners read this as us young riders tend to take stupid risks. I know i have and I've been only lucky to get out of it :oops: Hoffy you are completely right the road is not a race track!!

Stay upright people!!

Ouch Hoff! :oops:

I'd wondered about your injuries after Putty.

I'll try to remember the corners from the pics, and I'll ask someone to point out the corner when I do a Putty Run soon.

Just read this thread through. Stunned. :shock: :shock:

Great pics and write up with lots of information to take in about riding in a group. I'm yet to do a group ride (due to health issues) but will certainly try to keep this thread in mond when I do get out there.

Reading this has emphasized to me that I have a lot to learn yet.

I think that it is a great service to post this. It is even better to know that every one involved have not only survived but were able to learn from their mistakes and share the experience so others don't follow what could so easily have been so much worse.
As Madkaw stated in the earlier posts this was the first major incident and pretty much the only one in a long history of rides so that shows the maturity that is not always evident on the forum when it comes to the rides. It was a very impressive read. :kuda: :kuda:

Thank goodness all lived to tell the tale, I have met almost all that were involved in the acco and they are beautiful, beautiful people so thank goodness you guys are all ok. I must admit I did have a wittle tear when reading :cry: . As a newbie it has been an even bigger eye opener for me, those that have ridden with me know I am pretty chicken anyway but yeah certainly not riding to close with people when riding in groups is something I now have burnt (pardon the pun) into my head and well I wouldn't have expected anything else from the folk that were involved, or who attended to help at the acco as they are all amazing people, the most down to earth, non judgmental, level headed bunch of people I have ever met. Thanks for posting it guys don't ever go changing. :kuda: :kuda: :kuda: :kuda:
