Hoffy your still a Fucktard by the way.
I don't disagree, but...
Perhaps its the fact that ppl do search the site or google that there isn't that many posts about Kawasaki sports bikes on here lately... When a sites been around as long as this, its all been done before.
These places are cyclic and theres always new ppl who will join and things may change from time to time.
For those of us that have been around for a long time, you can only talk about bikes for so long, hence the amount of rides, get togethers and track days we have in Sydney. It keeps people coming here and interested. Unfortunately that isn't happening in other states and it would be good if someone / some people could give it a push.
Anyone is welcome to get involved and help stear the site in a better direction... or they can just bitch about it and leave. The choice is theres, I'd prefer ppl stayed.
Although I think you'll find most other forums the same, we are mearly a cross section of the population, just like all the others...
You moderate ppl / posts and your nazi, you don't and it goes of track... its a no win..
Perhaps a new thread about what ppl want from the site may help.. I know its not about Kawasaki Sportsbikes, but at least we;ll know ppl want to talk about em,
or not.
My PM box is always open to suggestions..... and complaints...
I'm too old for fresh ideas.

I'm too old for fresh ideas.
The cyclical comments are pretty true of most forums I am on Dave. They all have periods where for whatever reason things don't appeal to certain individuals. Personally, I think it's pretty good and not a lot needs changing. I'd like to see some more people get out and about on bikes, especially in Vic. Trying to get some out on a ride is like extracting teeth. At least here in Sydders they are for the most part active riders.
I'd love to see other things go on, but like you Dave, I'm too old to come up with ideas! I just like repeating what I know!! It's comfortable!
But, I would love to see a little less crap in here. Some of the more postive posts such as Cath's recent one are needed more often I think! We don;t need to be pocket pissing, but supportive all the same.
The issue here really stems from Brendan and as much as I tried myself not to criticise him, he made it awfully hard not to. His spamming got boring for sure. Maybe, some moderating would have been wise to level him prior to launch?

I still don;t mind Brendan, but he does have some things he needs to work through. But to his credit he has taken it onboard, all be it slowly...!
I hope he gets it together and sticks around.

That did not work Marty.
As for you not minding him, I will let you in on a secret you cant judge a book by its cover & there is a hell of alot of shit he has done that not many know about & would probably be shocked to know.
Dynamics is what this place is about ... love it or leave it we got plenty

BLOUSES
You blokes will send NSW into a quasie version of Vic. He said she said and all of it is bull shit.
HTFU or we'll loose more of us old people and rely on people like
stalker. That's an oldie to remember...
Long live the Goat and stop the pretend bitching, otherwise there'll be members droping off like flies.

All I will add is that I'm usually a fairly good judge of character. There's a reason Brendan is on my ignore list. Logging in and seeing EVERY thread having something by him in it put me off this site for a bit. That, and the other stunts he's been pulling don't give this place that "community" feel anymore. Lots of whispering behind the scenes, and no one with the cahoonas to come out and say what everyone else is thinking.
To the Hoff: Suck it up princess. I need you around here to sex this place up
To SnW: You had better stick around so I can give you more shit when you ride that contraption of a 250!
To Frank: I haven't met you in person, but if what people who have spoken about you say is true, you'll be an ok bloke in my book.
To everyone else: HTFU. Whilst my opinion might not mean much to anyone, I like to feel that I'm part of a great motorcycling community (Netrider anyone?

). Everyone I have met to date in person has been an absolute champ. At SBK I was made to feel welcome by all in attendance (Spewing Phil had to work long hours). I had Marty come meet me when I was looking at bikes and giving opinions etc. To the Vic crew who actually ride (I think there's like 3 or 4 of us!

) and give me tips etc. Everyone I met at HG! Seeing Jase's grin when he got off the KR-1 was priceless! Every one of you has made this site what it is. Don't change that. It's the reason I stick around here!
Now, to put this thread back onto a good vibe feel....

Alright, upon carefull consideration, I will be on Holidays from the Forum for 3 months. As Tape said we dont need controversy, it's not good reading and creates no interest for current or new members..however I will still be riding and will see you on the road SCAGS !
My return will be 19th September 2008.
In my absence, Wattie will run the HCSC, and will organise the Oberon-Taralga ride coming up.

Hoffy, I'd rather see you stick around. You ride regularly, offer help and advice in many matters, some of which are bike related and your antics are priceless.
Having said that, if ya need to step away for what ever reason, we'll be here when you get back. NSW is extremely active at the moment in a number of ways, and reminicant of Vic two years ago. I hope bringing things to peoples attention can stop the collapse before it creates the vacuum now seen in Vic.
As for Vic, it would be nice to see some of the old faces become more active again and perhaps a few new ones too. I know I've been thrown into the BMX racing, and don't ride as often as I'd like, but that doesn't stop me getting out there occasionally.
Adrian, give me a holla mate; I've an idea for some bike related antics you may be interested in.

FFS, if ppl leave or get the shits over 1 or 2 threads that don't suit there reading style then
they really need to pull there heads in.!!
Have a look at the active threads list, theres heaps of stuff going on, if you don't like the content of a thread DON'T READ IT.!! Especially 3 pages of it.! Its that easy.!
Or start your own. Theres way to many armchair critics who like to whinge when things don't suit them but don't get involved so things can suit them.
Neka use to be abused all the time for his constant posts, 99% off topic and generally having a shot at ppl. He "sorta" matured, everyone got to know him and everyone now thinks hes a great bloke. Have a look through the old posts, Neka, Mina, Duane, Stace etc all bitching about each other and all off topic.. I didn't see too many complaints. People have short memories as nothing has really changed, other than the names.
BTW, look how many ppl have read this thread... perhaps others do find it interesting or are there just bored. Either way no one has to read it, but they do, its like looking at a car crash, you know you shouldn't but can't help it. I bet all those whinging about it and similar posts will be back and reading it again, won't you.?
The site is now the most active since its inception with lots of new and younger people joining. As much as we all want to keep the "oldies" thats more difficult than getting newbies. Ppl move on, sell bikes, get a life, its impossible to keep everyone here forever so the future has to be the newbies... doesn't it.??
Anyway, No need for anyone to take a hiatus, alls good, as this thread has moved on from the light hearted dig that started it, then into a bit of a bitch session and its now about the site. Talk about hijacking..

I'll put up a poll to try and get general feeling of what people think about the direction the site should take..
