The valves seized after washing the bike?
That is the most crap i have ever heard.
What did you fill the engine up with water to wash the inside of that as well.
Who are these clowns?
Just because you are a women, its sounds like they think they can tell you any crap and you are going to believe it?
Ive never seen in any hand book say not to wash the bike or it will seize the valves.
Ive heard of valves sticking in engines, but thats usually if the engine has been sitting around for 12 months or so and never turned over and its more so on side valve engines and not overhead valve engines.
Man, ide like to have a chat with these f#*kwits.
If they believe this BS,i wouldnt let them touch a pram.

OK, I have it back..
The mechanic said compression is perfect etc, bike is like new.
Why it stopped? don't know.
I went to the honda dealership and looked at trading it, test rode a vfr800.
They're a sweet bike, very capable, solid. Did notice the power difference though.
Unfortunately they wanted to much changover if i traded it on a new vfr, so I told them to look out for a 2nd handie for me
Then I hopped back on the zed and I realised something.. the zed made me smile, the honda didn't.
I'll still buy a vfr800 for touring, and it's made me realise how much I do love the zed

Cept up here...
Check the ecu connector pins, some of them may have gotten damp. If they have signs of corrosion thats a possible contribution.
