You're not wrong about international freight, there's more pitfalls to be wary of.

If you ever decide to save money and send by sea instead of by fedex etc, be very careful because you can be hit with all sorts of customs taxes, port taxes, fuel levies etc etc and it can end up taking 6 weeks, and still costing more than 3-5 day air shipment!

I know my height in Feet and Inches but what's with the weight in Pounds on an Aussie site? that's sheer laziness! I have NO IDEA what my weight in pounds is (other than "too much" )

What kind of a Kawasaki dealership does not sell Kawasaki merchandise, or have on the showroom floor a 14, 10, z1000 or a 6!!!

In cameras, the red eye reduction button...............why is it there at all? is there anyone out there who'd want to have the pics with red eyes?

Similarly the slow and the fast suction option on the vacuum cleaner, what's the go there? Oh , I have a bit more time this arvo, so I'll just use the slow mode?

I picked up a sticker for our boat from the NSW water rescue people which was printed by the Department of Primary Industries, one which shows all the salt water species of fish in NSW, well at least most of them. It has the number which you can catch and keep as well as their minimum size in cm.
Then underneath the measure which runs from 1cm to 90cm it says:

THIS ITEM IS A GUIDE ONLY AND NOT A LEGAL MEASURE OF LENGTH

well if this is not a major WTF, I don't know what is......

6 Month Rego.

Great concept, so did the car for 6 months, pink slip(inspection) green slip (third party personal) and rego.

6 months later, all I have to do is green slip and pay rego because vehicle inspection is valid for a year.

My normal insurance company sends me a quote for green slip (third party personal insurance) at a great price ($200+saving for the year) trying to grab my business and I didn't think of the trap within. Great. Pay for that online, go onto the RMS website, and I can't renew rego because the green slip is yearly and so have to have vehicle inspection which will last the length of the green slip.

Now I'll have to go and purchase a 6 month green slip at 70% of the cost of the yearly one I've already brought, wait until midnight to pay rego because 2 green slips and rego will put me over my daily card limit, and hope that this second green slip shows up on the rms website also, then hope I can get a refund for the yearly green slip, then get up for work at 4am, and all of this so that the misses can get kids off to school, daycare and her work for the day.

Where's the warnings about this shit RMS/ insurance companies?

*Update. Cannot purchase 2 green slips from insurance company number 1 so had to go with another, so now when I call up insurance company number 1 to ask for a refund I won't have the other policy with them to prove situation - happy days
