What Gos hasn't said is that the MOTOR IS IN THE FRAME!! He's been so busy that he hasn't had time to take piccies. He's doing house daddy duties as well as trying to get this project over the line. Good thing he's a night owl! Saturday should see all the striping and stickers applied to the fairing as well as number boards. We have a choice of 3 numbers and I've sorta decided on which one to use but I wonder what you guys think? 3, as used on debut at the Coke, 111, as used at Macarthur where the bike won the Unlimited "C" grade and finished 3rd in the Unlimited Improved Production behind the 'works" Hondas, or 70, as used in the final meet at Bathurst. I must say I'm leaning heavily towards the 111. Fingers crossed the beast will roar this weekend.

Why not get all 3 number sets made up, get some pics of it with 3 and 70 on it and then finish with 111 and leave them on it.

The numbers are not hard to change in the future should you take it to Bathurst for a ride and a photo shoot.

I could probably do that, though we'd have to change the number background as well. At Bathurst the background was red, at the other two meetings it was yellow. I'll talk to my graphics man ad see if we could do that. Thanks.

If it was up to me - we would run the red background with white numbers.......because that would be immediately compatable with current Period 5 specs :kuda: - and I raced with #70 at Wakefield only last month.......

111 Phil it makes the bikes stand out, as in the 70s & 80s three digit numbers were common because the racing was so well supported, it was hard to get single or double digit numbers. Just my thoughts mate.. :)

If you run with all those green stickers that Alan is doing up this weekend mate - it would have to be #70. The early version of the bike at Oran Park, has no stickers and the Robbos Motorcycle Wreckers logos across the tank......

I'd be careful of having multiple sets of stickers to take on and off the bodywork now that Paul has done such a good job on it.......make a decision on the numbers/colours and stick with it.

Well, at Macarthur Park, the bike ran the #111 on red number boards. I just checked with Kent tonight, so that is the way it will be again. And it will only have the IPEC stickers, that's all.

Its over 751cc so by the moms it has to have red number boards anyway, so to stop any confusion stick with red. IMO... Either way I cant wait so see it!!!!

OK here are some shots from earlier today - really starting to look good now.

Tomorrow - wire up a total-loss system, fit battery & coils..........finish exhaust system and a couple of other smaller jobs.....and it will be time to "kick it in the guts Barry" ! :kuda: :kuda: the other dude in the photos is Alan Beaven, a mate of Phils - he is doing all the tank & seat graphics, they should be finished this weekend ...
