Sprint maybe...........F800...No. Not enough poke for my liking. That's one of the Hornet's problems. The old 6 made more power than it. It runs outta puff at 230. Thats just when the boys are clicking 3rd so i gotta have a little more on tap with whatever I do next.
I like Plasmas idea of an FZ1. Just have to throw the bride on n see if it gains approval. And they have enough power to keep me happy for a year.
If I did look at BMW, I would prolly look at one of the new K12 series. They are a good thing with plenty of clearance. Just a bit tubby is all.
Z1000 is still on the list, but at this stage I think I am gunna have a play with it. At the end of the day, If I fcuk it up, it's only a 12k fcuk up!

Strika, im guessing another option, although a bit "old school" as well would be the CB1300. Prob in similar company to the GSX1400 and ZXR. The Fazer (FZ1) is a great bike, As Plasma said is a top ride. I am not being biased towards Yamaha BTW. I treat each model on its merits, no matter whom the manufacter may be...lol.
The FZ1 is what I would call a street version of an R1. It is a great bike in it's own right, but due to the popularity of the R1 and the interchangability of many parts there may be many options down the track with regards to suspension and of course pipes...
Cheers mate
P.S........the FJR is very comfy and your wife would live the comfort factor...just has pegs that are too bloody low...well so I hear

Strika, the 2002 - 2005 FZ1 is a great bike, sporty enough to throw it around in the twisties, yet comfortable & gutsy enough to go two up for long distances. The 2006 is a totally different kettle of fish though! We have an 2004 FZ1, 2003 Z1000 & 2004 Z750. The FZ1 & Z1000 are both Jeff's, and after getting back on FZ1, he is really starting to wonder if he wants to sell it! He would happily recommend it to anyone interested in a sports tourer......just don't go grabbing a handful of front brake until you are used to the brakes...

The FZ1 has a detuned R1 engine, although the 2006 model's engine is less detuned (?terminology) that previous years, has the R1 braking systems, but the comfort of a sports tourer.

What are your thoughts on the pillion accom on the Z1000? And what does Jeff think of the Handling of the Z1 as against the FZ1 Esie75???
