Most pumps have a flat spot just big enough to hold ur helmet, then carry it in when paying for fuel. Rest it on ice cream freezer and when someone tries to open lid of ice cream freezer with your helmet on them, give them a look of "touch the helmet and DIE punk".
As for where to carry said drink? OOh, look at me, I have a ZX9, it has a boot big enough to carry a leg of lamb.........

I wear it if I feel like it and never had a prob with staff.
Guess it could be a problem if I was to CATCH FIRE

in the servo, but on the other hand it might save me if I got hit by an asteriod FFS.
Much more likely to get run over or mugged in a servo in which case the helmet would be useful ON YER HEAD.

Have never had a problem at Mobil sites, simply swipe the card at the pump, fill, and go.
Stops having to wait while clowns pay for their weekly food shopping etc.

Is the Liverpool kiss a lethal weapon with a helmet on?
Personally always leave it on, visor open, money/credit card in hand.

I take it off, and either rest it, pointy end up, over the pillion footpeg, or put it over a mirror. The one time I balanced it on the seat it rolled off, so I won't be doing that again!

In Sydney thats the least of my problems.
I will have to start learning the Indian language soon,
all servos are being run by the sub-continental type it seems lately, and they struggle understanding my Australian accent.
Note: I am not racist,
I like butter chicken, this proves it.

Hoffy, that's no different than Melbourne i'll let you know. Understand they might have trouble with my accent as I sure do with theirs.

I got a new and even more annoying one from a guy at a local servo who refused to start the pump until i got off the bike, talking some shite about laws against it. Aparently, if im sitting on the bike the petrol may splash out, run down my right leg onto a hot exhaust and set me aflame...
What next? is there the distinct possibility that they wont start the pump in case i have plans of riding my bike into the side of a pre-school for special needs kids and they wouldnt want a full tank to explode on impact?
or maybe the fumes from the filler would reflect of the light from venus, fooling the cages around me into thinking im an alien fueling up the old ufo at my local BP, causing them to try to either disect me to find out what the purple squidgy thing does or just bend over and spread their cheeks for a good old fashion probing...

I usually leave my helmet on and fill up. Depends if we're in a hurry or going to stand around and have a chat or a smoke.
For some reason, I always seem to be the last to get my helmet and gloves back on.

Too much chatting maybe?
Cheers,

My normal trick is to put it on top of the bowser itself.
Then, last week, ther same dumbarse attendant who watched me put my helmet up there decided that he'd change the sign on the bowser where my helmet was.
Result?
My helmet getting knocked on the ground.
What did he do? Nothing. I said to him "Thanks for knocking my helmet onto the ground". All he did was look over his shoulder and run into the shop to hide behind the counter.
Didn't reckon I looked violent? Didn't swear, or anything....... Fair dinkum, Sydney takes some getting used to. Don't know if I'll ever get the hang of it.

One little paint chip, so I don't reckon there'd be any chance of a claim.
Just won't go to that bloody servo anymore.
It's run by little freaks!

How much fuel can we get away with? $20? $30? Most bikes don't have fuel tank more than 19L.
I've only come across one servo in Brisbane that have such rule,
SHELL at Coronation Drive(Milton)
. Obviously I'm never going to that servo again.
