I dont deal with Peter Stevens anymore.....

I got the fork seals redone at their workshop, within 2 days one had popped.... I rang them up and told them, they told me to bring the bike in...

So I did, they looked at it for about 5 seconds and then said "The forks are damaged, thats why the seals wont work... You need new forks"...

I said "thats bullshit, show me where they are damaged"

They said "well, you cant see it, it is below this rubber ring" pointing at fork.

I said "well, you could have told me that WHILE you were fixing it... or even after, but you didnt....."

They said (and I am paraphrasing here) "tough luck buddy"...

So I talked to the manager, who repeated "tough luck buddy"

So I took it to another mechanic who looked at it... I told him this story, he said he would fix the fork seals again but obviously couldnt guarantee that the seal would hold...

When I picked up the the bike he said there was nothing wrong with the fork at all...

the new fork seals have been on the bike for almost a year now without any problems...

I emailed the manager recently to let him know that if they are willing to screw me for a $100 job, I obviously cannot trust them and therefore I will not deal with them any more... (I'm not a psycho... but these things really bug me sometimes, and sometimes you just have to let them know).

In the past 2 years I have spent nearly $18,000 with Peter Stevens, and now... for the sake of doing a job properly, or at least treating me with some respect they will never see another cent of my money....

oops... I'm ranting....
