Mike, I work 4 the Council,(well I make an apperance on monday - friday anyway hahahahaha) so I'm only a number buddy....as 4 the redundency package, our u bewt lord mayor want to build a shitload of tunnels 2 ease our future traffic congestion...which is a fair enuff call, cause we have all these bloody southerners movin up here everyday however, this comes at a price, just thro my section (asset maintenance) we have been told we have to give back around 4 million bucks worth of work over the next financial year so they have money 4 the tunnels. We have just lost 60 -70% of our workforce in our section as it is, cause they just gave all the casuals the D.C.M. I'm sure my manager would luv 2 get rid of me tho cause i do my work well & dont kiss ass or suk up!!! all is well until they try 2 fuk me over on something I'm entitled 2......then look out me jumps up & down big time!!!!!!! That'll probly stop once little Johnny gets his fuken workplace reforms thro the senate but

i will be much happier after 2moro's ride....

And yes i know theres the 3rd party guys, but generally they dont carry massive quantities of weight compared to the 1000lb gorillas we love to hate.

I honestly feel sorry for anyone who will be screwed by those reforms.
I mean the main reason people have the rights they do in a lot of industries is the simple fact that showing a united front (being part of a union) covers their asses pretty reasonably well.

Oh and Yappa, that sounds shit actually. im sure a fair few of those casuals help with the workload a fair bit. Good luck mate, sounds like the mayor up your way has thought about this a lot, theres only so much fat from the bone you can trim.
